I have now been to Paris twice, and with each visit my love for the city of lights continues to grow. To be honest, though I enjoyed my trip this past September, I came back feeling quite “thrown off.” My routine was out of sync, I felt depleted creatively, and overall just completely and utterly uninspired. That said, I decided to give myself grace and time to get back into the groove. I went back to filming my weekly office outfits, and slowly but surely began to feel like myself again! From my last blog shoot to now, we have since entered a new season so I wanted to style a look that fully captured where I was in the present moment– and what better way than with a sweatshirt showcasing the last place that brought me so much joy?! I had been eyeing this piece for well over a year now and I’m still baffled that it took me this long to finally pull the trigger. When it comes to the Fall/Winter seasons, I feel like there’s two types of people: ones that lean towards the camel/warm tones and those who prefer the grey/cool tones. I am absolutely the latter. As much as I love those hues on others, if I have to choose between two coats, a neutral taupe is going to win over a rich caramel every single time. I’d say this is most likely because I tend to ground the majority of my outfits with some element of black, and whenever I ‘ve tried to incorporate a warmer brown shade into my wardrobe it hardly gets worn. So with that bit of insight, I pretty much knew exactly how I was going to assemble this look. Though they were slightly different shades, I thought the color of my top and pleated mini skirt were close enough that I could use this an an opportunity for a monochrome foundation ( we also know I LOVE a co-ord set moment). In efforts to play into the “collegiate” trend and give a nod to my private school uniform days, I also decided to layer with a long-sleeved poplin bodysuit, which perfectly complimented the stark white lettering. For juxtaposition purposes, I thought a chunky knee-high boot would add a bit of grit to the ensemble and offset the preppy feel. Lastly, I threw on my olive vinyl trench to complete the styling and was beyond satisfied with the outcome! I kept my accessories sleek with classic square frames and a leather bag featuring silver hardware that effortlessly coordinated with my staple everyday jewelry. In my opinion, this was the perfect introduction back into blogging and I’m excited to finish out the year strong with some holiday looks and much needed festive content. Until next time!

When it comes to creating outfits, especially as we move into the colder months, I find myself leaning into different textures more frequently. Considering outerwear and footwear are the pieces that get displayed most during this time of year, I try to have fun and select items that have more unique qualities. I’ve never been much of a “trench coat girl” as the season to wear them always seems too short, however this year I couldn’t pass on this stunning olive number. The hue and sheen are truly what captured my attention and it didn’t take much convincing to make my purchase. I absolutely love the oversized, yet relaxed, fit as well as the unusual shade of green which makes this particular garment both eye-catching as well as neutral. At this point, I’d probably say this is one of the most show-stopping jackets I own! In an effort to not have too many competing styles, I decided to pair down the rest of the ensemble with a cut-out black bodysuit and distressed boyfriend jeans. I liked the way the details of both pieces somewhat mirrored each other while adding subtle interest to the outfit overall. To complete my vision I threw on my newest pair of puffy heeled sandals, (an early holiday present to myself) as well as an amber pair of rectangular frames to really enhance the color palette I was working with. Lastly, gold jewelry was the obvious choice and I could not have been more pleased with the outcome! I loved how each garment though fairly simple, each had their own distinct element that contributed to the chicness of the look. Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

When I think of NYE, most of the time an elaborate celebration featuring over the top outfits and partying until the early hours of the morning comes to mind. That said, there are multiple ways one could bring in the new year. For that reason, I decided to style a festive look that would be more appropriate for an at home celebration or something that is just overall more low-key. Coincidentally, when I stumbled upon this particular top, I was actually shopping for garments for my Christmas blog posts. I had also been invited to a holiday party that same weekend so I figured it would make for an easy option to throw on for that event as well. Though I was hesitant about whether I would actually wear it, by the time I got home and tried it on I was convinced! I loved that this metallic blouse wasn’t so obviously silver or gold, which gave me room to play around with the jewelry I decided to pair it with. Additionally, and probably my favorite thing about this piece; it’s reversible! Having the option to wear the plunging neckline in either the front or the back was definitely a bonus and made this purchase that much more worth it! For bottoms, I chose an old vinyl pair of trousers which in an interesting way, still highlighted the sparkle of my top and complimented it perfectly. While I had previously worn silver accents, for this shoot I decided to try gold jewelry and was pleasantly surprised with how everything came together. Since my hair was up, I sported my newest stud earrings and matching pendant as well as an assortment of gold rings. Lastly, for one final element of glitz, I chose to wear my gold-capped black pumps to seamlessly complete the look. Since we used a hotel setting for this photo shoot, my vision of a cozy NYE curled up on the couch surrounded by candles truly came to life! I’m still not quite sure what I’ll be doing this year, but at least I know if I stay in I can still look a bit festive. Comment below whether you’re more of a homebody or prefer to be out on the town for NYE. Until next time!

More often than not, there’s usually one specific piece that becomes the catalyst when creating my outfits. In this specific instance it was this fun vinyl tote from Jeff Wan. I was lucky enough to have been selected for this collaboration and though I was excited for the styling, it took me some time to figure out where to start. Based on the style of bag as well as the bold pineapple stamp, I immediately decided to use the beach as my theme and inspiration. I had already had this one-shoulder asymmetric top in my closet and had been meaning to use it in a blog post since the day I brought it home. During my shopping session, I was initially leaning towards a flowy wide-legged pant, but unfortunately could not find anything that suited my vision. After browsing the sale section, I also picked up cream blazer as an addition to my wardrobe staples; with no intention of using it for this particular look. As I arrived at my final store location of the day, these striped shorts caught my attention without hesitation I knew that they would be perfect! They instantly reminded me of those giant beach umbrellas and before I knew it, my look was coming together right before my eyes. Because my bag had brown accents, I decided to incorporate a pair of suede mules in the same color to add a bit of cohesiveness. To elevate the look, I made a last-minute decision to drape the blazer I had purchased over my shoulders, which really helped to provide dimension and a touch of sophistication to the ensemble overall. For jewelry, in efforts to highlight the gold button detail on my sleeve, I added a matching pair of dangling earrings and was ready to roll! This outfit truly gave me all of the chic vacation feels and I am undoubtedly pleased with how it turned out. It’s no secret that the neon trend is here to stay, but I must admit, I’m honestly at a point where I can only tolerate it in small doses. Though striking, I feel like it has been a bit overdone at this point and it may be time to scale back on the fluorescence. I was lucky enough to have recently been contacted by the generous folks at Eggie, and was asked to select a few pieces from their 2019 festival collection. What I love most about this brand, aside from the fact that it was created by a fellow influencer, is the awareness brought to the importance of sustainable clothing; and, as an added bonus, means that these pieces are built to last and can survive in your wardrobe for many seasons to come! (I’ll be featuring more items from this brand in the upcoming blog posts as well so stay tuned!) Over time I’ve slowly become a girl that loves her tailoring, so when I saw this unique cold-shoulder blazer, I knew I had to give it a try. Because this piece is such a standout and has the most beautiful neckline, I didn’t want to over-accessorize with too much jewelry or other garments that might clash. Luckily, I remembered that I had a pair of denim biker shorts coming in the mail and they ended up being the perfect complimentary piece. To brighten up look and play off the seasonal Spring excitement, I couldn’t resist adding a pop of color with a sleek yet vibrant pair of strappy chartreuse mules. Last but certainly not least, I added my vinyl baker boy cap for a bit of edge and my natural woven mini backpack which really pulled out the cream shades in the plaid detail on the jacket. I was beyond pleased with how this outfit turned out and can absolutely see myself rocking it to brunch very soon. Comment below your favorite item from this look and until next time!

Coming off the heels of NYFW, I can honestly say that I was truly inspired. So much so, that I wanted to challenge myself by incorporating the vibrant colors I saw on and off the runways into my current Fall wardrobe. I bought this dress in particular for a girl’s trip to Miami, and unfortunately ran out of time before I could wear it. Previously, I would’ve never thought I could style a wrap dress like this, let alone considerate it appropriate for the cooler months in NYC. That being said, I decided to give it a go and ended up being completely in love with the result! Clearly this frock was the focal piece, yet despite the various colors throughout, I decided to play off of the subtle black stripes in the design. Though we are still getting a few glimpses of Summer with the inconsistent forecast, I chose this as the perfect opportunity to dust off my leather thigh-high boots and see if they could still handle these city streets. Styling dark accessories can sometimes become overpowering and make an ensemble feel too weighed down. In efforts to prevent this issue, I made sure to space out the black accent items and find pieces that varied in texture. The belt bag I purchased, while incorporating leather, also had an unexpected suede layer beneath the clasp. Additionally, I also decided to add a hat– I know what you’re thinking, “SHOCKING!” I think it’s pretty evident that I have no problem taking risks with my style or stepping out of my comfort zone when I find a piece that I feel will suit me. The “baker boy” hat trend has been popular since the last Autumn/Winter season, and while I wasn’t the biggest fan at first, this vinyl version really peaked my interest enough to try it for myself. Quite frankly, I’m just happy I was able to make this dress work now instead of having to store it in the back of my closet until next year. With silk & satin also being popular fabrics at the moment, I’m already thinking of ways to re-style this dress for the colder months. I can already picture it with either a blazer on top and/or a thin turtleneck underneath for some extra layers. Let me know in the comments how you would style this dress, or if you have Summer pieces from your own closet that might make their way into your Fall wardrobe. Until next time!

While Fall is my favorite season when it comes to styling looks, knowing that it is right around the corner already gives me feelings of excitement as well as anxiety. To say the year is flying by would be an understatement, so in efforts to embrace the last bit of Summer we have left and sneak in a few autumnal trends, I created this look! As we move into cooler months, there are a few staples that always seem to take retailers by storm in a major way; two of my favorites being leather and animal prints. Whether worn together or separate, both can bring chic and edgy elements to any look! This look came together in no time as I found the main focal pieces in the same store. What initially drew me to this shirt in particular was the fact that the print wasn’t overly warm-toned. A lot of times when I see leopard/cheetah printed garments, they typically consist of brown shades and sometimes even orange. I liked this shirt because the base color was light enough that it was almost neutral, meaning that I could style it all year round and wear it with basically any type of jewelry regardless of the metal color. This worked to my advantage as I also came across a pair of leather, paper-bag waist shorts with silver hardware on the belt. Of all the leather garments I own, I happened to be missing a pair of shorts so this purchase was an instant no-brainer. Though both pieces had their own intricate and bold details, I needed to find accessories to tie everything together. For shoes, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and finally try a pair of Perspex sandals. I had been purposely avoiding this trend as I felt like most styles I had seen thus far either looked cheap or just simply weren’t flattering on the foot. To my surprise, I was really drawn to these nude heels along with the subtle chicness and elevation they added to this ensemble. I also felt like they kept the Summer essence was striving to maintain with the off-white base and clear vinyl strap. I wore my favorite pair of geometric earrings to coordinate with the studs along the belt and threw on a red lip for an extra pop of color. Let me know what you think of this look in the comments below and if, like me, you can’t wait to see what the next season of fashion brings. Until next time!

While I never thought I’d be too keen on having everything in my bag on full display, there’s something cute and quirky about these vinyl bags and if styled properly, extremely chic! Below I’ve rounded up a few styles that have caught my eye and may very well make their way into my wardrobe. Let me know in the comments if you would rock this trendy accessory and don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks!

Can you believe it’s already August?!?! The Summer is flying by and it won’t be long before we’re all transitioning into our layered looks and craving pumpkin lattes; but let’s enjoy the moment, shall we? I purchased this white frock a few weeks ago and honestly had no immediate plans of styling it. I simply loved the minimal nature of this piece and how it combined the classic elements of the collared shirt with the modern twist of an asymmetrical hem. Finally, the right moment presented itself and I knew that I had to act fast if I wanted to showcase this tunic before the season came to an end. It’s no secret that I prefer heels to flats majority of the time. That said, if I’m going to wear a flat shoe chances are it is a neutral sneaker of some kind. I now have three pairs that I rotate within my day to day wardrobe and they are all either black, white, or a combination of the two. After a few months of contemplation, I bit the bullet and decided to jump on the Van bandwagon. I was initially hesitant because I wasn’t sure if this style of sneaker would suit me or work with my personal style– needless to say, I was completely wrong. Funny enough I felt like such a “cool kid” wearing them, I couldn’t believe I had waited so long to give them a try! With my look nearly complete it was time for accessories. I recently collaborated with the brand called Reel which is a platform designed to promote guilt-free shopping while helping you save for the items of your dreams! I tried this service out for myself and couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience. I loved that I had full control over the amount I was putting aside as well as the length of time I planned to save for. This truly made for a low-stress and pressure free environment to spend at will. I decided to save for a new card holder and with constant email updates every step of the way, I had my luxury item in my possession before I knew it! I highly recommend giving Reel a try and for some added incentive you can use my code ASM15 for a $15 credit on any Reel of $100 or more! To really show off my new gem, I thought it would be fun to have it displayed front and center through this vinyl clutch. To further coordinate with the clear accents, I added a pair of rounded sunnies which really tied the look together and solidified the effortlessly casual look I was going for. I hope to get in a few more Summer looks while the weather allows it, so stayed tuned for what’s to come! Until next time!

The blazer/menswear trend has been extremely popular over the last few years. This year however, it seems to have taken on an even bigger presence with various prints: specifically checkered, plaid, and “Prince of Wales.” Being an individual who can appreciate a sleek and tailored look, I knew it was only a matter of time before I would eventually incorporate this trend into my wardrobe. Because there is such a wide variety of retailers selling this popular outerwear piece, I wanted to make sure that I took my time and purchased a blazer that was the perfect tone, print, and style for me. In the midst of my search, and without any real intention, I ended up buying other items that are extremely high on the must-have list for Fall/Winter. Last year, I bought a red vinyl mini skirt and while it is definitely a statement piece on it’s own, I didn’t feel the need to go overboard and stock up on a bunch of PVC items. On a recent shopping trip however, this pair of black pants really caught my eye and after trying them on, I knew they’d be a great closet addition. What really drew me in was the high-waist fit and contrast white stitching that added an interesting element I’m not used to seeing very often. Because the trousers were so bold and gave an 80’s rock feel, I decided to stick with the theme and pair them with a  simple slogan tee. In the end to complete the ensemble,  I settled on a long-line checked blazer that consisted of warmer tones and gold hardware. To bump up the chic factor, I decided to throw on an old pair of gold-capped pumps that really tied everything together. Overall, I loved the look but still felt like something was missing especially since I opted out of carrying a bag. Luckily, I had just received my new glasses and this was the perfect look to showcase them! The tortoise print of the frames added a “smart” factor to the outfit as a whole, without taking away from any of the more casual and edgy pieces. The way everything came together so seamlessly, definitely made this look a favorite and hopefully one you guys enjoyed as well! Until next time!
