I find inspiration all around me when thinking of new looks to style and in my opinion, the Fall season has the most unique elements to choose from. For this look, I wanted to create an ensemble reminiscent of the rich brown and orange tones in the leaves as they begin to turn. I have been longing to break out my thigh high boots all summer, and now is finally the perfect time! Over the last few seasons my mini skirt collection has also grown, and I knew this one would be perfect for an autumn look as soon as I picked it up. The soft suede texture and bronze hardware really captured the essence of this time of year and because it is pretty neutral, it left me a lot of room to find a matching piece. I honestly, don’t think I could have found a more perfect blouse to pair with this skirt. The warm hues in the floral print as well as the slight frills on the sleeves and around the collar, really brought this look together and added a softer feminine touch. As I wanted to keep the focus on the clothing items I hardly wore any accessories and just threw on an open front cardigan to add a bit more dimension and layering. I absolutely love the Fall and looks like these because they are very buildable. On a colder day, add some tights, a leather jacket, and a scarf; if it gets a bit warmer opt for a lighter denim jacket and short booties. I intend to make the most out of this weather before it gets too cold and cute (practical) outerwear is my only option. Until next time!

ASM X TOBI PT. 2

For my second Tobi look, I couldn’t help but gravitate towards my go-to piece, yes, another jumpsuit. I’m really starting to think I have a problem, but I just can’t help myself! Especially for us shorter girls, jumpsuits give the illusion of a longer frame as well as just being effortlessly chic and timeless pieces. So moving from one obsession to another, I have also been loving the color navy. While it is getting warmer, I still find myself reaching for the darker shade as it adds a subtle flare of color without being too in your face or as harsh as black. Speaking of black, I don’t know who came up with the rule that navy and black could not be worn together; personally, I’m all for it! Now onto the look– Because the jumpsuit was a quite formal, sexier piece, I threw my staple cropped leather jacket on top to tone it down slightly and bring in some more casual vibes. To further the contrast, I added my iridescent heels and my light grey fringe, cross-body bag to the ensemble as well. In my opinion, the combination of all of these pieces with their varying textures and colors made for a nice, balanced look that could be appropriate for numerous occasions. What I like most about Tobi is that their pieces are buildable. While you can easily wear an item on its own, the garments are always on trend yet still simple enough so that they can be styled with items you may already have in your wardrobe. ASM X Tobi PART 1

I am so grateful to have been selected by the lovely team at Tobi to work on a sponsored fashion collaboration. They graciously allowed me to pick out a few items to style and share with my followers; so lets get started! Tobi is a popular online-only women’s fashion boutique based in Los Angeles with an ever-changing stock for all of your fashion needs. While it was quite difficult to narrow my selection, I managed to shorten my list to my favorite key items which included the dress and jacket featured in this post as well as a jumpsuit that I will be showing in part 2. The dress was definitely one of the first pieces to catch my eye on the site. I really loved the interesting slate grey color of the garment as well as knot and cut out side details that added subtle, yet striking elements to the otherwise simple item. Since the weather has still been quite inconsistent, I figured looking for layering pieces wouldn’t be a bad idea; and this long-line draped jacket was just what I needed for those breezy days. Even before receiving the items, I knew these pieces would work well together, it was just a matter of what accessories I would use to complete the look. I had recently purchased these amazing,vibrant blue strappy heels which coordinated perfectly with the cool tone of the dress. In efforts to maintain a bit of contrast and tie in my black outerwear, I decided to throw on my leather cap and chain link purse for more of a “sporty chic” vibe. I am extremely pleased with how this look turned out and appreciative of everyone at Tobi for this professional and pleasant experience.
