Fringe, though not a new detail, has definitely become a more trendy accent on almost every type of garment recently. From jackets and coats, tops, shoes, bags and more, this chic characteristic does not appear to be making its exit in fashion any time soon! I’ve rounded up a few pieces below that I’ve personally had my eye on lately! Don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks and until next time!

While I absolutely love dressing up for any occasion, especially the holidays, I wanted to style a few more casual options for this year’s festivities considering most celebrations will be small at-home gatherings. Though I haven’t really stocked up on tons of loungewear during the pandemic, I have added a few new sweat suits to my collection. This one in particular is by far the most “formal” due to its neoprene fabric which makes it much more substantial and structured than my cotton options. When it comes to my personal style, one of my favorite things to do is pair casual and dressier items together. Whether it be a band t-shirt, denim, or an old pair of sneakers, this juxtaposition is always one that I tend to gravitate towards. For me, it was a no-brainer that I’d be styling this basic co-ord with a sleek pair of heels. I had actually purchased these satin beauties about 2 years ago for NYE and they still bring me joy every time I wear them! Despite being extremely comfortable, the bow detail across the toe strap always incorporates a cute feminine touch. Once I had these items styled I knew I would need a few more pieces to complete this look. I had recently purchased a new coat for the season which featured an abstract hounds-tooth print. In my opinion, this was the perfect outer layer for the ensemble because it made a classic yet bold statement, against the other black garments. For additional texture, I dusted off and threw on an old quilted chain link bag. I always love bringing new life to items in my closet that I may have forgotten about or took a break from wearing. Lastly, to top off the holiday vibes, I added a bright red lip and was ready to celebrate from the comfort of my own home! Comment below if despite the restrictions you still plan to get fully glam, or if you’re choosing to tone it down this year due to the current circumstances. Until next time!

From the time I truly began investing in my wardrobe, my consistent goal was to eventually have a collection of pieces that were quality, timeless, and interchangeable. That being said, when I was contacted to try a few pieces from the new brand “Free Assembly,” available at Walmart, I jumped at the opportunity! After doing some research and reading up on the message behind the collection, I was thrilled to see that a lot of our values aligned. Not only were the garments on trend and affordable, they were size inclusive and full of classic silhouettes that can be worn for years to come. I was also very much sold on the color palettes that ranged from warm neutrals to understated florals and plaid motifs. When deciding on the look I would style, I wanted something that was of course chic, but also Fall appropriate. As soon as I saw the corduroy skirt sets my mind was made up, and though I almost took the plunge, I decided to continue looking and see what else I could find. Just as the line insists, these pieces were created to “mix, layer, and assemble freely.” This statement absolutely held true as I stumbled across a black, white, and slate grey plaid blazer. Though this may have been an odd pairing for some, I was confident that with a monochrome base I could absolutely pull off this ensemble. With the blazer and skirt in tow, I completed the outfit with the softest navy blue turtleneck and a pair of knee-high boots which beautifully tied everything together. As a final touch, I added a pair of statement earrings and was all set feeling confident in my “Clueless-inspired”, autumnal getup. Comment below your favorite piece and don’t forget to head to Walmart.com to shop these pieces and more from “Free Assembly!” Until next time!

So long are the days of wearing garments for one singular purpose! In my personal experience, especially while growing up, cardigans were always meant for layering when the temperature of the destination was uncertain. Lately however, I’ve noticed these knits gaining more respect and moving from the typical “add-on” piece to one of the focal items in various ensembles. Below I’ve rounded up a few options that I could absolutely see myself styling currently and during the upcoming seasons. One of my favorite things about fashion is the constant reinvention and recycling of trends from the past. With every year, there seems to be a decade piece that really dominates and though we are still quarantined, 2020 has been no exception. With regards to clothing, I would definitely say that this has been the year of the cardigan. Whether you’re drawing styling inspiration from the 60’s or the 90’s, this garment has proven to be a timeless staple that anyone can rock! I was surprised at how influenced I was to reintroduce this piece to my wardrobe, but after coming across this beautiful lilac cable knit with embellished buttons, I couldn’t resist! Because it was so feminine and unlike any item I currently own, I was on a mission to make it fit my personal aesthetic. I decided to wear the cardigan as a top instead of a layering piece, and only buttoned the first fastening to keep it more Summer appropriate. In efforts to add a bit more edge, I threw on a pair of distressed straight-legged jeans and strappy black mules. Accessories were also imperative in finalizing this look, so I continued to play off of the pastel color palette by adding a pale blue bucket bag. Lastly, I added my clear 2000’s inspired sunglasses and my ensemble was complete! Comment below your favorite part of this outfit and whether you’d be interested in giving the cardigan trend a try. Until next time!

While there have been quite a few colors really making an impact in fashion this season, I couldn’t help but notice a consistent trend of blue. Specifically with regards to footwear, I’ve seen both luxury and high street retailers produce a version of a heeled sandal in this similar hue. Though the circumstances in which we celebrate holidays may be drastically different this year, I think its safe to say that we can all use a bit of retail therapy to lift our spirits. Below I’ve rounded up a list of Memorial Day Weekend sales going on right now, so feel free to TREAT YO’SELF! Whether you’ll be showcasing your new goodies in the mirror, or at the next Zoom birthday party, at least you’ll be prepared for when life as we once knew it resumes. Until next time!

There are two types of people in this world when it comes to gathering for the holidays. Those who throw on the comfiest thing they own to lounge in, and those who buy an entire outfit just to sit on the couch and take photos while waiting for the festivities to begin; can you guess which category I fall into? Nonetheless, regardless of where you fit in, I’ve decided to round up a few pieces that I could certainly see myself rocking this turkey day! Whether you’re with friends, family, or a mixture of the two, have an amazing holiday and cherish these moments while you can. Don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks and until next time!
