Another year has come to an end and what a whirlwind it has been! It’s so surreal whenever we get to this point because it’s the only time we truly have a sense of “reset” and starting anew. Personally, while I’m trying to focus on gratitude overall, I also want to take account of everything that did not serve me over the last 365 days. All of the negative thoughts, habits, routines and even people who have no place in the next chapter of my story will be left here in this moment. As I get older, it’s important for me to prioritize healing, growth, and working the plans I’ve made to create the life that I rightfully deserve; and I hope you do the same! I’ve mentioned previously that the Fall and Winter holiday seasons are my favorite, and unfortunately it seems as though they keep flying by faster than the last. Because of that, my enthusiasm towards the festivities was slightly underwhelming and I feel like it reflected in my approach to styling my ensembles. That being said, there was no shortage of sparkle and shine which is really all that matters, right?! I had been on the hunt for a sequin top and actually purchased one but sadly, I was not in love with it. To my surprise, about two weeks later I stumbled upon another one during the Black Friday sales and though it was still a bit more than what I had initially paid for the first option, it was well worth it! The quality and construction of the sequins were infinitely better as well as the gunmetal color which made it more edgy and luxe in my opinion than the typical high-shine silver. In efforts to keep the rest of the look understated, I reached into my closet for a patent mini skirt and layered it with some fishnet tights for added texture and interest. I completed the outfit with a few more “vintage” wardrobe staples, including my pvc slingback heels and houndstooth coat which I honestly do not get enough wear out of! A black leather top-handle bag and signature red lip were all I needed to tie everything together and be ready for an at home or out on the town NYE celebration! I’m leaving 2022 filled with love, light, and optimism for an incredibly abundant 2023. See you there!

There are certain pieces that need absolutely no introduction or major selling point and this playsuit was one of them! As soon as I saw it online, I knew it would be a standout garment for my Summer wardrobe as well as a memorable item that would instantly turn heads. During my first try-on, I immediately saw how much personality and flare this romper had. From the voluminous sleeves, to the bold contrasting print, I knew that to pull this off I would have to be my most confident self. As per usual, when I style a look around one focal piece, I tend to downplay the rest of the accessories so that the item I want to stand out will really “pop.” For this reason, I chose a sleek black mule to streamline the ensemble as well as give my legs some added length. To my surprise because of the heel height in comparison to the short-shorts, I really looked like I had grown about a foot on camera! Lastly, I decided to finish off the outfit with some pops of gold, so I reached for my sequin pineapple bag and small hoops that I’ve literally been wearing nonstop. Though I never really discuss it specifically, I think it’s important to call out just how important selecting a location is to my photoshoot process. On this particular day, we happened to stumble across this white scaffolding (which is very common in NYC) but for some reason it stuck out to me more than usual. The coloring alone definitely made it more appealing, as well as the circular lighting on the ceiling which gave a cleaner more photogenic look, while complimenting the spots on my jumpsuit. I say all of this to say, that the work I put in goes way beyond the clothes; everything plays a role in capturing those perfect shot(s) and I’m glad that you like what ‘m creating. Until next time!

With only a few days left until we ring in the new year, I thought I’d round up a few festive ensembles perfect for any NYE celebratory occasion! Whether your event in conservative, risque, casual or completely over the top, it’s not too late to find a look that will have you looking and feeling your best as we enter 2019! I tried to find a variety of options, so don’t forget to click the images below to shop my picks! See you next year! <3

The holidays are officially here and with all of the social gatherings coming up, outfit preparation is a must! That being said, sometimes the focus is so much on the ensemble, accessories can be forgotten. Not to worry, I’ve rounded up a few festive bags that will help take any look to the next level and add that extra bit of sparkle you may be missing. Don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks and until next time!

There’s nothing like the convenience of a garment that requires minimal effort to style while still looking chic and on trend. I’m basically obsessed with all “one piece” ensembles especially during this time of year– anything from dresses, rompers, and of course jumpsuits! This denim number is one of my latest purchases and truthfully, I wasn’t sure what to make of it at first. Typically when I think of denim garments in this style, my initial thoughts are of overalls, so I was a bit skeptical when I felt the stretchy elastic-like fabric. That said, I was pleasantly surprised when I tried on this piece and saw that it fit more like a comfortable figure flattering cat suit. This is the perfect item that is versatile enough to dress up for a night out or wear casually with sneakers to run errands. Because I consider denim to be “neutral,” I wanted to style it with a bag that had a bit of interest. To my surprise, I found the cutest hand beaded and sequined pineapple purse that in my opinion was the best accessory to compliment this look. Since I had such a glitzy purse, and didn’t feel the need to wear much jewelry, I just finished off the ensemble with my minimal black mules. This jumpsuit is definitely a piece that I see myself wearing all year round and styling for many different occasions. Let me know in the comments below if you would ever wear a garment like this or if you prefer traditional overalls. Until next time and Happy 4th!!

This look is already a new favorite! I’ve been seeing the patch trend literally EVERYWHERE lately so I couldn’t help but pick up a piece that I could easily fit into my wardrobe. Personally, I’m not much of a DIY girl thus I was never into gluing or ironing patches and badges onto my clothes. With that being said, I’ve always loved the vintage and unique feel it gave to some pieces so I knew I had to try it out! Aside from the blatant eye-catching elements of these jeans, I  was also pleased to see that they were a “mom” fit. While the “mom jean” was initially described as quite an unflattering look, they have easily become one of my favorite styles of denim. I love the combination of the relaxed fit while still making sure to accentuate the curves of the female body; sounds like a win all around if you ask me!  While I could have paired these trousers with a black top and called it a day, I wanted to play up the quirky side of the bottoms so I went with a simple metallic cropped tank. I’ve been very much into metallics lately, so when I saw that this dainty top was constructed of a leather-like material, I knew I had to have it! These pieces meshed perfectly together but in order to keep the focus on the main two items, I kept it subtle and added minimal black heeled sandals and my black backpack to finish off the look. What I love most about this look is that it is constructed of statement pieces that can be worn together or stand alone. I think the most important part about building a wardrobe is finding articles of clothing that you can wear multiple different ways and can adapt as you introduce new items to your closet. Until next time!

I was very excited to style this edgy holiday look, especially since I’ve had these sequin joggers for about a year and have been dying to wear them! One thing I love about the holiday season is that you can never be too overdressed. It is a time where you can pull out all of your glitz and glam and no one will judge you for being the disco ball in every room. Aside from that, it is a period of celebration and personally, I jump at any and every chance to get dressed up! Now on to the look. Since the joggers are such a statement piece, I wanted to keep the rest of the look slightly muted so I opted for an all black ensemble and decided to experiment with different textures. I chose a snake printed lace top for added detail, and my black and white leather jacket to bring some contrast. With a bright pop of red lipstick and my minimal mules, I was ready to hit any social event around the city. This look would be a great choice for any informal setting where you can be comfortable and slightly casual with with a bit of pop! Happy holidays everyone, I will see you soon with my next holiday look!
