The easiest way to break up an entirely neutral or monochrome look would be the pairing of a variety of textures. I tend to rely on this rule most heavily during he cooler months as the color palettes begin to get darker, and it can be trickier to have your wardrobe essentials stand out. Because I knew I was dealing with only two colors for this entire outfit, brown and black, I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to test out this theory! I bought this coat recently during one of the huge end of Summer sales and instantly knew it was a statement piece I’d get my cost per wear out of this season, and many more to come. Snake-print is another trend that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, so I was more than happy to add this beauty to my closet. Knowing this would be the focal piece, I wanted to find a way to layer other garments under it that were understated enough not to clash, but also eye-catching. After a bit more browsing online and through my own collection, I finally put it together! I chose a sheer, black checkered top and a mini skirt which proved to be the most perfect combination. The pieces were simple yet edgy and though they may have come off a bit risque on their own, under the bold trench, they were every bit of chic! For the first time this season, I also pulled out my favorite croc embossed black booties. These tied the look together and kept the ensemble streamlined while still adding height and balance against the more revealing pieces. Lastly, I finished off the look with my brown gradient aviator frames and a few gold rings. Personally, I feel like this outfit is my most accurate portrayal of transitional Fall dressing and I’m excited to see how my style evolves from here. Don’t forget to comment below your favorite piece and until next time!

Finding new ways to make a statement with your outfit especially during the Winter season can be quite challenging, and that’s why generally my shoe choices and outerwear tend to become the focal point. Puffer jackets have always been a practical street style essential, but lately they’ve been popping up on everyone’s “must-haves” list. Below I’ve rounded up a few styles that I would totally wear to look stylish while facing the harsh winds and below freezing temperatures. Growing up in the North East, I’ve truly come to appreciate each and every season. From the wardrobe changes and nostalgic feelings that come with them, it seems like there’s always something to look forward to. Now that we’re on the cusp on Winter, it is prime time to bring out all of those cozy textures that keep us warm and looking chic! Over the years faux furs have become a Fall/Winter staple and, aside from being just another fashionable piece, are now crafted to look and feel just as good if not better than the real thing! This year, I was determined to add a new coat to my collection that was still for the most part, practical, functional, and eye-catching. I wasn’t necessarily looking for a fur, but when I saw this one I knew it I had to at least try it on. To my surprise, upon doing so, I fell in love with the color, fit, and weight of the outerwear garment and knew it had to be mine! Because this was such a statement making piece, I wanted to be strategic with how I styled it. While I knew I wanted to incorporate neutral tones, I didn’t want to play it too safe by styling an all black/cream outfit. On another shopping trip shortly thereafter, I found this amazing houndstooth midi skirt that had just enough detail to keep the look interesting and dimensional, without taking away from or clashing with the coat. Since faux fur pieces can definitely be a little bulky for some, I made sure to keep the other items of the ensemble sleek and form fitting, including a textured short sleeved mock-neck t-shirt I found. To finish off the look, I decided to add a pop of color with an old pair of orange sock booties, and gold hoops for some extra sass. I know for a fact I’ll be layering this coat over almost anything this season from the most casual to  festive and formal outfits. Let me know in the comments your go-to faux fur garments or accessories and how you like to style them for this time of year. Until next time!

As a lover of texture, I knew it was only a matter of time before I got my hands on the ever-so-popular “teddy coat.” While I’ve seen this outerwear piece most often worn in neutral shades, there are a variety of styles that retailers everywhere are designing and releasing into the wardrobes of fashionistas worldwide. I’ve rounded up a few options that have caught my eye recently, so don’t forget to click the images for direct links to shop my picks! Let me know what you think of this trend in the comments below and whether you feel it will last or be over by next season. Until next time!

Of all the textures that seem to make an appearance as soon as the temperature drops below 50 degrees, (faux) fur has easily become one of my favorites. Especially now that the market has become in such high demand for realistic looking furs, retailers have really stepped up their game in creating stand out pieces in basically any style and color variation you can imagine! Below I’ve rounded up some of the outerwear pieces that  have recently caught my eye, so don’t forget to click the images below to shop my picks! Stay warm, and happy shopping!

Shearling coats, especially in the “biker jacket” style, have been extremely popular this season. While this piece of outerwear may be on the more trendy side, they easily provide a cozy layer of warmth and edge to any look. Whether from a high end designer or more affordable brand, there are so many variations to choose from and I am personally a huge fan! For my second Tobi look, I couldn’t help but gravitate towards my go-to piece, yes, another jumpsuit. I’m really starting to think I have a problem, but I just can’t help myself! Especially for us shorter girls, jumpsuits give the illusion of a longer frame as well as just being effortlessly chic and timeless pieces. So moving from one obsession to another, I have also been loving the color navy. While it is getting warmer, I still find myself reaching for the darker shade as it adds a subtle flare of color without being too in your face or as harsh as black. Speaking of black, I don’t know who came up with the rule that navy and black could not be worn together; personally, I’m all for it! Now onto the look– Because the jumpsuit was a quite formal, sexier piece, I threw my staple cropped leather jacket on top to tone it down slightly and bring in some more casual vibes. To further the contrast, I added my iridescent heels and my light grey fringe, cross-body bag to the ensemble as well. In my opinion, the combination of all of these pieces with their varying textures and colors made for a nice, balanced look that could be appropriate for numerous occasions. What I like most about Tobi is that their pieces are buildable. While you can easily wear an item on its own, the garments are always on trend yet still simple enough so that they can be styled with items you may already have in your wardrobe. Please check out Tobi, for all of your fashion needs and don’t miss out on the 50% off for all new customers! Until next time!

Floral is probably one of the most popular prints for the spring and summer seasons. While there are many ways to style this trend, I find the easiest to be simply adding a light layer onto a very simple and casual look. By doing this, you can make a statement while still perpetuating an effortless and care-free vibe. Below are some pieces that have stood out to me lately. Happy shopping! Outerwear is the last piece we put on when completing an outfit and also the last opportunity we have at turning an outfit from drab to FAB! Luckily, in those dire situations we can breathe a sigh of relief because bomber jackets have taken the lead in being the statement pieces we often lust for. Below are a few of the jackets that have really caught my eye lately and can absolutely serve as the bold piece needed to elevate your look. Happy shopping!
