From the time I truly began investing in my wardrobe, my consistent goal was to eventually have a collection of pieces that were quality, timeless, and interchangeable. That being said, when I was contacted to try a few pieces from the new brand “Free Assembly,” available at Walmart, I jumped at the opportunity! After doing some research and reading up on the message behind the collection, I was thrilled to see that a lot of our values aligned. Not only were the garments on trend and affordable, they were size inclusive and full of classic silhouettes that can be worn for years to come. I was also very much sold on the color palettes that ranged from warm neutrals to understated florals and plaid motifs. When deciding on the look I would style, I wanted something that was of course chic, but also Fall appropriate. As soon as I saw the corduroy skirt sets my mind was made up, and though I almost took the plunge, I decided to continue looking and see what else I could find. Just as the line insists, these pieces were created to “mix, layer, and assemble freely.” This statement absolutely held true as I stumbled across a black, white, and slate grey plaid blazer. Though this may have been an odd pairing for some, I was confident that with a monochrome base I could absolutely pull off this ensemble. With the blazer and skirt in tow, I completed the outfit with the softest navy blue turtleneck and a pair of knee-high boots which beautifully tied everything together. As a final touch, I added a pair of statement earrings and was all set feeling confident in my “Clueless-inspired”, autumnal getup. Comment below your favorite piece and don’t forget to head to Walmart.com to shop these pieces and more from “Free Assembly!” Until next time!

Outfit inspiration can come from anywhere whether it’s the runway, strangers on the street, an ad, or your very own friends and family. This particular ensemble was a recreation of a look I saw styled on a mannequin while out of town that I completely fell in love with! Overall, I loved the randomness of the mixture of items as well as the classic casual pieces that were thrown in for an effortlessly cool vibe. Track pants have been trending for quite a few seasons, and while I already have a black pair in a more tailored style, I thought it was time to finally get my hands on the real thing. I love these trousers because while they make an obvious statement with their bold red hue, they can also be worn in a variety of ways. For this look I chose to pair my trousers with black court shoes to dress them up and though I was initially looking for a blouse, ended up styling a graphic t-shirt for a more relaxed and playful look. So as not to keep the look too dressed down, I chose to finish off the outfit by layering a navy blazer for a “smart” and chic element. With so much going on, I didn’t want to incorporate too many accessories because I felt it would be slightly overwhelming for the already eye-catching look. Though fairly different pieces, I liked how the white accents on each article of clothing worked to create a seamless and cohesive looking outfit. I also thought the incorporation of primary colors (red, blue, & yellow) really made an unexpected statement that I’m not used to, but happy I decided to experiment with. Comment below if you’re a fan of incorporating athletic pieces into your everyday style or if you choose to solely keep them for the gym and other fitness related activities. Until next time!

If I were to create a look that embodied all of my favorite fall fashion trends, this would probably be it! I’ve been obsessed with navy for quite  a while now, and I don’t see my love for the shade fading any time soon. Especially for this time of year, ensembles that incorporate rich colors and tones always seem to stand out the most. Another hue that is constantly reoccurring in the colder months is burgundy. There’s something about the deep wine toned red that always seems to take over my closet in some form or another and this year, it came in the style of velvet boots! Now, velvet is a HUGE trend right now to say the least and being a lover of texture, I just couldn’t pass up on these shoes. I love darker colors because in some ways they can act as neutrals in that they can be paired with almost anything, and as soon as I purchased this off the shoulder top, I knew they would be perfect together! The dual textures in the shirt, mixed with the raw hem of my culotte jeans, and suede belt created an interesting 70’s style vibe that I truly hadn’t intended but absolutely loved! And as if I didn’t already have my fill of navy, I added my personalized, pebble grained leather, “Madison” crossbody bag that I also adore! All in all, this look was full of amazing textures, fall colors, and trends galore. So what’s not to love?! Until next time! 🙂

I am a full supporter of pretty much any piece of clothing with an open back detail. Aside from the fact that I personally believe that the back is the sexiest part of a woman’s body to show off in fashion, I also love the bit of mystery that comes along with it. The idea of being able to walk into a room and appear completely covered, only to then turn around and BAM! An unexpected showstopper is what I like to call it, and that was the exact thought process when styling this outfit. This ensemble presents itself very conservative and preppy from the front while the open back detail of the top adds that hint of edginess that no outfit of mine would be complete without. I also thought the horizontal stripes in the top and the textured lines in the skirt made for a seamless transition. For the rest of the look I kept the shoes minimal by throwing on a low pair of heels with a wide ankle strap and my favorite statement necklace. Another fun fact about me is that I have no problem mixing metals when it comes to accessorizing. Because I am not a huge jewelry wearer as it is, I never saw it as an issue. Some may see this as a “fashion don’t” but it hasn’t stopped me yet! Lol. Do you have any unconventional fashion habits or is it just me?
