White dresses have recently become increasingly popular and have slowly made their way onto the list of “wardrobe staples.” Especially during the warmer months, these frocks can easily be swapped in as an alternative for the LBD and worn in a variety of settings no matter how casual or formal. Below I’ve rounded up a few variations that I could definitely see myself styling around the city, in the upcoming months. Don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks; until next time!

As a style blogger, though we may often plan and hope to shoot in the most pristine conditions, there are times when that falls out of our control and we must roll with the punches. On this particular rainy day, I had to do just that and while it was not my most ideal situation, the show had to go on! Luckily, I was quite pleased with my outfits and got into my zone rather quickly, aside from a few missteps along the way. It’s no secret that Fall is my favorite season and though I love embracing the neutral warm tones this time of year brings, I never shy away from adding a bit of contrast to the mix. On a recent shopping trip I was surprised to find the top and bottom to this look rather quickly despite having no real direction. The cozy mustard knit served as a perfect Autumn staple, while the metallic skirt added an unexpected pop of interest that somehow gave the sweater a bit of excitement and luxury. In my opinion, metallic pieces can definitely serve as neutrals and of course, go-to items as we approach the holiday season. To be honest, the hardest part was trying to find a shoe that would marry these two items and keep the look cohesive. Given the time of year, I figured booties would be the best option and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the pair I found. The silver accents perfectly complimented my metallic mini and tied the look together in a way that was seasonally as well as stylistically appropriate. To further finalize this look, I added my minimal silver watch and black fringe backpack; two accessories that have solidified their places as staples in my wardrobe. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed styling this look and definitely plan to pair these pieces with other items in my wardrobe throughout the season. Let me know in the comments below if you’re a fan of Fall metallics or are more traditional, and prefer to bring them out only for special/holiday occasions. Until next time!

This look is easily in my top 5 blog posts of all time. Why, you may ask– because it came together so unexpectedly and ended up being the most perfect combination! I purchased this top on a separate occasion from the bottom two pieces and was hesitant at first to even leave the store with it. The deconstructed button down shirt is a wildly popular and trendy piece; and while I am a huge fan, I’ve been trying to train myself towards only investing in pieces that I know I will get longevity out of. That being said, I obviously don’t have much self-control because it didn’t take much convincing for me to realize that I “needed” this item. After getting the piece home I immediately started brainstorming outfit ideas and was leaning towards pairing it with what I thought would be the most effortless option…DENIM. For some reason though, I ended up putting the idea aside and continued planning other looks. During another shopping trip a few weeks later, I ended up scoring this amazing mini skirt, heels, and a few other gems. At this point, I’ve honestly lost count of how many minis I actually own but being on the shorter side, I figured I could never have too many (lol). Also, for more seasonal purposes, I thought the khaki fabric made this particular skirt a great transitional piece as we are moving into the Fall. Believe it or not, I was on the hunt for a bag when I came across these gorgeous heels and it only took me about 20 seconds to spot them, try them on, and realize they were on sale before making my purchase and being happily on my way. To be completely honest, I had 3 separate outfits planned for each of these pieces up until the night before my shoot. It was only when I began modeling my new items for my roommate (it’s our ritual, don’t judge lol) that I got the idea to try everything on together and she and I both confirmed that it was “the one.” In life, outside of just fashion and blogging, it always seems like the best outcomes are products of unplanned situations. For me, this was yet another example of why I need to learn to just let go sometimes and stop overthinking everything…however, I am still a work in progress, lol. Until next time!

Distressed denim has been a leading trend for quite some time and when applied to skirts, it makes for the most perfect combination of feminine edge. While also being an homage to the 90’s style, I can’t see how one can go wrong rocking this look in any variation. Check out the pieces I’ve gathered below and don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks. Until next time!

One of the perks of being a blogger, in my opinion, is that you have a permanent excuse to constantly shop. Even if it’s for something that you may only wear once or wouldn’t typically pick up, you can easily make a case for it. That being said, I try to only shop for pieces that I know I can feature on my blog and make permanent assets to my existing wardrobe. However, there are times when I am skeptical about an item but buy it anyway just to try it out; and this skirt was a product of one of “those” purchases. A few years ago, the PVC (or patent) trend was very popular in regards to body-con midi skirts and dresses. While I was a fan of it then, it’s been awhile since I’ve worn something of that particular fabric. All in all, there was something about this skirt that intrigued me and since it was also on sale, I decided to take the plunge. To be honest, this piece sat in my closet for about a month and a half and just as the regrets were starting to creep in I found the perfect top to pair it with. Since we’re finally diving into Spring, I instantly knew that this white embroidered shirt would make for a clean and effortless look. What I loved most about it, of course, was the Asian-inspired back detail that beautifully emphasized the rich red color of the skirt. For the Summer I would not hesitate to pair this look with some crisp white sneakers, but because it still gets a little chilly at times I opted for my go-to OTK boots. To accessorize I kept it very simple with a dainty silver choker to match the exposed zipper on the skirt, and my fringe backpack to keep things casual. This look definitely got me excited for the warmer months to come and I can’t wait to mix and match these pieces withe the other gems in my wardrobe. Let me know what you think of the PVC/patent trend in the comments below. Until next time!

Surprisingly, mini skirts have become one of my new favorite versatile pieces, especially for fall. Whether paired with sneakers, heels, sweaters, or classic button ups, this garment is one that has definitely become a growing staple in my wardrobe. It honestly took me a while to take interest in the mini skirt trend. I’m not sure if it was because my last memories of that garment were being layered over leggings in the early 2000’s (a trend that for the record I NEVER participated in) or if I just wasn’t comfortable styling them. Either way, I have since gotten over it all and my skirt collection has been rapidly growing. It all started last fall, when suede and leather minis were popping up everywhere and seemed to match perfectly with my favorite pair of thigh high boots. Ever since then I was hooked and my obsession began. The skirt I styled for this look is actually my first non-leather mini. I was initially attracted to its bright colors and intricate stitching. I knew it would be a great garment for the warmer months and also useful as a transitional piece going into fall. Because this was the focal point of the ensemble, I kept the other elements pretty simple. I could have really gone with any color shirt, but I slightly stepped outside of my comfort zone and opted for a powder blue button up rather than the classic white. To tie in the dark background color of the skirt, I accessorized with my black minimal heels, a small cross-body bag, and a thick choker necklace. This chic look was perfect because while it is eye catching, it is also simple enough to put together for those sweltering days when even getting dressed is a hassle. Until next time!

I am so grateful to have been selected by the lovely team at Tobi to work on a sponsored fashion collaboration. They graciously allowed me to pick out a few items to style and share with my followers; so lets get started! Tobi is a popular online-only women’s fashion boutique based in Los Angeles with an ever-changing stock for all of your fashion needs. Aside from being reasonably priced, they offer worldwide shipping, an endless variety of pieces to keep you on trend, and 50% off for new customers; so please tell me what’s not to love! While it was quite difficult to narrow my selection, I managed to shorten my list to my favorite key items which included the dress and jacket featured in this post as well as a jumpsuit that I will be showing in part 2. The dress was definitely one of the first pieces to catch my eye on the site. I really loved the interesting slate grey color of the garment as well as knot and cut out side details that added subtle, yet striking elements to the otherwise simple item. Since the weather has still been quite inconsistent, I figured looking for layering pieces wouldn’t be a bad idea; and this long-line draped jacket was just what I needed for those breezy days. Even before receiving the items, I knew these pieces would work well together, it was just a matter of what accessories I would use to complete the look. I had recently purchased these amazing, vibrant blue strappy heels which coordinated perfectly with the cool tone of the dress. In efforts to maintain a bit of contrast and tie in my black outerwear, I decided to throw on my leather cap and chain link purse for more of a “sporty chic” vibe. I am extremely pleased with how this look turned out and appreciative of everyone at Tobi for this professional and pleasant experience.
