As much as I’ve been embracing bold color trends lately, Summer whites, linens, and neutrals will always be classic seasonal staples! I love the fact that my wardrobe has gotten to such a cohesive place that regardless of when or where I buy a particular item, I can always ensure it will align with a variety of things I already own. Though I am not the biggest fan of white jeans, I happened to come across this gorgeous pair of tailored wide-legged trousers and simply couldn’t pass them up! Since they were already so long and voluminous, I knew that a cropped top would be my best option to not offset the proportions of the ensemble. Despite also getting much more experimental with my dress collection, it’s no secret that statement tops will forever be a prevalent garment and favorite when it comes to my personal style. What I loved most about this specific piece was the fitted bodice and puffy sleeves that brought a touch of drama while still keeping with the light and airy vibe overall. To further accentuate this beachy theme, I knew that tonal accessories would be my only option! I didn’t want to over-complicate the look by incorporating a pop of color and anything black just felt too harsh of a contrast. I recently purchased these tan lace up heeled sandals which perfectly matched a wooden crossbody bag I’ve had for quite a few years now. In efforts to compliment the natural textures, I threw on my go-to rings and a beautiful set of gold earrings that resembled the sun and seamlessly tied all elements of the outfit together. With my oversized aviator sunnies as a final touch, I was ready for the chicest sunset soiree and dancing into the night! Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

There are certain outfits that require hi-res documentation and for me, this was one of them. I unfortunately did not have the chance to get any decent pictures while wearing it on my most recent vacation, but luckily I waited because the show-stopping accessory I didn’t know I needed hadn’t arrived yet. I’ve been extremely grateful for all of the collaborations I’ve been able to do thus far in 2021, and this particular one was no less exciting! Having the opportunity to partner with the iconic https://www.dooney.com/ brand was such a pleasure, as they have been known to produce some of the finest leather goods for decades. I already knew the quality would be amazing, and was not disappointed in the slightest when I received the three (yes, THREE!) handbags. Though I loved them all for different reasons, based on the season we’re currently in, I knew I had style the monogram option immediately. Luckily, I already had the perfect look planned! As soon as I saw the yellow lettering and camel brown accents, I knew this was the missing piece to an already chic styling (if I do say so myself). I did find it slightly challenging at first because I typically incorporate black items when grounding my outfits with more neutral elements. To my pleasant surprise, everything turned out great and the ensemble came together seamlessly. In efforts to match the hardware on the bag, I incorporated gold tear drop earrings and as a final touch and completed the look with my tan mules. In my personal opinion, highlighting juxtaposition is the easiest way to create a dynamic outfit. Whether you’re contrasting masculine & feminine pieces, drastically different textures and/or fabrics, I truly believe this is one of they key factors to having an elevated sense of style. Though we are still a few days away from the official start of Summer, the heatwaves have already begun and it’s definitely time to pull out those breathable wardrobe essentials! When it comes to textiles for this time of year, linen is probably one of the most popular. With designer brands like Jacquemus and Cult Gaia leading the pack in terms of vacation-wear, it seems like light and airy garments are more sought after than ever. From the moment I saw this white frock with strappy open-back detailing, I knew it was going to be a staple in my closet over the next few months. I had initially planned to style it a bit later, but after a few 90 degree days, I figured there was no better time than now! Though pairing this dress with heels would’ve been an easy choice, I wanted to bring a bit more edge to this rather dainty piece. Within the last month, I had also recently purchased what has easily become my favorite, and soon to be most worn sandal. These “flatforms” are everything any chic city dweller would need when hitting the pavement for hours on end; cushion, support, grip, and style. It also didn’t hurt that the laces somewhat mirrored my dress accents which made for a nice synergy. With my look nearly complete, I decided to keep my bag fairly neutral with a black and straw crossbody option which really enhanced those picnic or “walk in the park” vibes. Lastly I threw on an angular pair of light tortoise sunnies, and a red lip for a bold pop of color. I truly can’t wait for another opportunity to wear this ensemble and see what Summer 2021 has in store! Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t had the opportunity to showcase my outfits over the past year due to the pandemic, but recently, I feel like I’ve been buying into the trends more than ever before! That being said, I do genuinely like what is being produced from various retailers at the moment and am so excited for the outfits I have planned in 2021. It seems like for the Spring and Summer months, the decades we tend to see the most style references come out of are the 90’s and 70’s; most likely due to the florals, light fabrics, denim, and flirty silhouettes. At this point, if I had to pick one garment that I’ve seen consistently growing in popularity from the runway to the high street for the upcoming seasons, it would have to be wrap tops. Whether as a blazer, knit, button-up, bralette, or t-shirt, the options seem to be endless and also highly flattering! The simple addition of leaving extra material to hug the body at the smallest part of the waist, is a subtle accent that elevates and instantly adds interest to any ensemble. For me, this particular top checked all of the boxes; it was the color of the season, linen, and the fit was incredible! At the beginning of the year, I was on a mission to find a pair of two-toned denim jeans, and though I was successful, I couldn’t resist adding this maxi skirt to my collection as well! I can honestly say that while both items are showstoppers, to my surprise, they did not clash in any way. I usually tend to focus on one standout piece to build around with each look I create, however this time I decided to take more of a “maximalist” approach. While I could’ve added a simple nude sandal, I chose a striking lace-up option which mimicked the detail of my top, and featured a bold blue heel. Lastly, I decided to complete the outfit with a few gold rings and a unique pair of earrings with multi-colored stones that seamlessly tied all of the elements together. Despite shooting in NYC, this outfit gave me all of the tropical vacation feels, which hopefully is a foreshadowing of what’s to come this year! Getting dressed during the Summer can easily become repetitive and boring; I mean, how many dresses and tank-top/short combos can one wear?? That being said, there are ways to keep your outfits fresh and fun and it all boils down to FABRIC. Choosing items made of lightweight, breathable fabrics can allow you to play around with your style and even do some minor layering without overheating. For this particular look, I chose to build around these amazing high-waisted striped culotte trousers. Culottes are a great option for the warmer months because their loose fitting construction can keep you cool while still looking chic. Another bonus in regards to these trousers is that they are made of a light linen fabric which keeps the air circulating throughout the garment. I chose to keep my top neutral and show a bit of skin with a bardot style crop top. Because this piece is made of a thin knit material, I was able to comfortably brave the heat despite the fact that it is more form fitting. Being that my color palette was fairly neutral, I thought it would be nice to add a pop of color with my powder blue heeled sandals. Bright colors are pretty much a staple during this time of year so I thought these strappy shoes added an unexpected, yet eye-catching  touch. Lastly, no Summer look is complete without a pair of sunnies and I was thrilled to be able to incorporate one my latest purchases. I’m definitely an aviator girl when it comes to sunglasses and these gorgeous ombre frames were right up my alley! Remember, just because it’s hot doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy experimenting with your style. Stay cool, and until next time!
