Every now and then I get intrigued by just how versatile my style can be. I truly don’t consider myself as being particularly “girly,” but occasionally I find myself drawn to pieces that are more on the feminine side and I can’t help but filter them into my wardrobe. For instance this dress; it’s simply GORGEOUS! I had honestly never seen such a stunning shade of lavender and though this piece did come off a bit “night-gownish,” I threw caution to the wind and decided to give it a try! I actually purchased this garment during the early Spring season and realized it was either now or next year when I would have the opportunity to wear it again. I feel like I’ve been describing a lot of my looks as “effortless” lately, but with quarantine being our new reality, even the idea of getting dressed has become a process I haven’t felt like putting a lot of thought and time into. For this particular outfit, I figured color-blocking would be an interesting approach to styling such a vibrant frock. I added a pair of pale yellow asymmetric mules and layered with a thin white shirt which provided even more movement and texture on this warm, breezy day. I completed the ensemble with a few silver pieces of jewelry and used a bouquet of flowers that my photographer so unexpectedly brought me as an impromptu accessory, which just so happened to match perfectly! This is definitely a look that can take you from day to night, to the boardwalk and back to the city. Comment below your thoughts on these pieces and if you would consider styling any of them as we head into the next season. Until next time!

It seems as though the color lavender has been the hue of the season and possibly the year thus far. While I am not the biggest pastel wearer, I love this soft feminine shade and have definitely stepped outside of my comfort zone to incorporate it into my Spring wardrobe. Check out some of the pieces I’ve rounded up below and don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks. Until next time!

Easter is the first major holiday that kicks off the Spring season and I always find it to be an amazing time to spend with family as well as embrace some of the lighter, more pastel pieces in my wardrobe. Hues of purple such as lavender and lilac have been a huge trend this season, so much so that I was trying to avoid it at all costs! That being said, when shopping for this particular collaboration shoot, I couldn’t deny the instant attraction to these wide-legged trousers and definitely couldn’t leave the store without them. Aside from the gorgeous color, I also thought that the contrast of the black buttons were a simple yet strikingly chic detail. Recently, I’ve seen this shade worn most often when styled with co-ords or monochrome looks. In efforts to try mixing things up, I chose to pair the pants with a striped satin textured blouse which definitely added a more traditional, classic element to the overall ensemble. Oddly enough, though we briefly discussed color scheme, I didn’t know that my friend Jahira would be wearing a matching white set and purple top so we ended up coordinating in the best way possible! Though barely seen, I also opted for a pair of white heeled sandals which really got me excited for warm weather, despite this particular day being absolutely freezing. To complete my look, I struggled to find a bag that wasn’t so dark that it weighed the look down or bold in color that it took the focus off the the slacks. I finally settled on a tote with wicker detailing and black trim which I felt may not have been the most obvious choice, but definitely pulled the look together in an unexpected way. It also complimented my counterparts neutral taupe boots which made our styling even more compatible. All in all, I had a great time shooting these looks and hope this gave you some ideas for the upcoming holiday weekend! Comment below if you’d like to see more photo shoot collabs in the future. Until next time!

With September being right around the corner, I thought it was time to slowly start incorporating some fall pieces back into my wardrobe. While still remaining weather and season appropriate, I decided to pair this gorgeous tiered dress with my tortoise heel ankle boots. I absolutely loved the soft hue and fabric of the dress against the textured leather on my shoes as well as the fringe on my backpack. Because I wanted the movement of the pieces to be the focus of the ensemble, I kept my accessories minimal (per usual, lol). I’ve literally been wearing this thick, ribbon choker with everything and I have no intentions of stopping! Being someone who is not that keen on wearing loads of jewelry, I find that simple necklaces and rings that go with everything suit my everyday fashion needs best! I am also personally loving the idea of pastels for the fall and plan to definitely make them a trend in my closet this season. Overall, I feel like I’m off to a good start in terms of styling my fall looks, and I can’t wait to see what other inspiration I can draw from my favorite season. Until next time!
