As we move into the hottest months of the Summer, getting dressed can sometimes feel like a chore especially when staying cool is top priority. Personally, this is when I rely most on classic simple pieces; most notably, shirt dresses. Whether a white poplin or a blue pinstriped option, shirt dresses are one of the easiest garments to style when you want to look “put-together” with minimal effort. As soon as I saw this particular frock I was intrigued because though rather plain, it still had subtle details that made it a bit more elevated; ie: the elasticized cuffed sleeves and high-low hem. I’ve always said that the beauty of dresses is that as soon as you throw it on, your ensemble is nearly complete! From this point, all I had left to do was accessorize and opted for a few new editions that I’ve recently incorporated into my wardrobe. As a heel-lover, a lot of times it can be difficult to find designs that are practical for all-day wear. Thus, my search began for the perfect platforms and I can honestly say, the mission was a success! These lace-up beauties gave me all the height I could ask for, while still being extremely comfortable for those long days running around the city. To play off of the black and neutral color palette of my shoes, I decided to grab one of my most worn top-handle bags as well as a sleek pair of sunnies that make me feel incredibly chic every time I put them on. As I final touch, I added a bit of sparkle with some gold jewelry accents and was ready for everything from brunch with the girls, to a weekend in the Hamptons! When it comes to my Summer aesthetic, effortless eye-catching fashion will always reign supreme! Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

Unless you’ve truly been living under a rock, or have absolutely no interest in keeping up with fashion trends, it’s been nearly impossible to avoid the explosion that cargos have had over the last year. From runways to retailers, it seems like every brand has produced their own take on this utilitarian style, and have found ways to incorporate it into every type of garment you could possibly think of. While initially only trousers came to mind, the “cargo-inspo” has since merged into denim, skirts, vests, jackets, corsets, jumpsuits, dresses, boots, and even bags! So naturally, it was only a matter of time before I found a piece (or two) that peaked my interest and fit my wardrobe needs. As soon as I saw this set I was immediately intrigued and knew that as long as the quality was up to par, I would not hesitate to bring it home! I loved the overall design of the co-ord, as well as the distinct contrast of the black zippers that really gave an added pop of interest and edge. I also appreciated the versatility knowing that I could easily pair both pieces with other items in my closet if I didn’t want to wear the entire set (though it does look amazing as a whole). To further play up the darker accents, as well as account for the inconsistent temperatures, I chose to layer it with a long-sleeved knit turtleneck. Whoever invented this concept was truly a genius because functionality aside, it also doesn’t take away from showing the best parts of the ensemble! To tie everything together, I chose to complete the outfit with minimal accessories including my favorite sunnies, lace-up heeled sandals, and a bag that mimicked the hardware on the top and pants. A few final touches of silver jewelry were the icing on the cake, and I was quite pleased with the end result. Especially now that we’re finally getting back into the warmer months, it feels great to get excited about expressing myself through clothing again without having to worry about coordinating a piece of outerwear so I don’t freeze. There are certain items in my wardrobe that will always remain a staple regardless of the trends or how they evolve throughout each season; and for me, denim will always be a constant. For as long as I can remember I’ve had a large collection of jeans and though I’ve gotten rid of the pairs that no long suit my personal style, I’d be willing to bet I still have more than the average person. Whether skinny or straight, distressed or embellished, I can always find an excuse to add a new style and these cargos were the perfect addition! Cargo pants are typically associated with a more utilitarian lifestyle where function is the main priority, hence the multiple enlarged pockets. That being said, they have become quite popular within the fashion community lately, and despite their original intended use, have been a mainstream success especially with regard to “streetstyle.” Since I’m partial to lighter washes in general, from the moment I saw these trousers I knew I had to have them and in no way was I disappointed with my choice! Another recent purchase I made was this cropped white knit featuring contrasting buttons and bell sleeves. Like the pants, the fit and quality were a complete dream and the pieces were instantly a match made in style heaven! Though this ensemble was on the simpler side, the subtle details seamlessly flowed together to create a complimentary foundation. For accessories, I wanted to emphasize more of the darker elements without weighing down the entire look. To do this, I threw on the most minimal heeled sandals I own and a small crossbody bag with a black trimmed guitar strap. This really helped to balance the outfit overall, and allowed for a nice juxtaposition against the lighter hues. Finally, to play off of the gold hardware, I added my favorite oversized sunnies and jewelry to match! This type of effortless styling comes so naturally to me and I can’t wait to showcase even more versatility throughout the Spring and Summer months! A lot of times it’s hard to get the most use out of garments that are specifically purchased for the season we are currently in. To be honest, majority of the items showcased in this ensemble were bought around Black Friday 2021 and sadly, I’m just now reaching for them. Brown, though extremely trendy, can often be associated with the Fall/Winter months. Knowing this, I was torn between styling them now or waiting until it got cold again but luckily, my excitement got the better of me! In efforts to reflect the “Spring vibes” as much as possible, I knew that my footwear and layering pieces would be crucial. Starting from the bottom, it definitely helped that my trousers though leather also featured cut-out details which really spoke to the warm weather we are slowly beginning to experience. Because I knew that my outerwear was going to be a chunkier monogram cardigan with similar tones, I opted for a stark white cropped tank to break up the chocolate and add an element of brightness to create some much needed dimension. My strappy heeled sandals were the obvious choice as they matched my pants perfectly, and did not weigh the outfit down like a boot or other closed-toe option would. Finally, the accessory I struggled with most had to be, THE BAG! It was tricky because I knew I didn’t want to pair something that was another dark shade, and was also trying to avoid clashing with my sweater’s print. I almost overlooked this cross-body entirely because I frankly thought it would be “too much.” However, after seeing the way everything came together, I couldn’t have made a better choice! I loved how the orange in the illustration helped to highlight the colors in my outwear, which I had hardly noticed prior. To coordinate with the metal accents, I threw on my favorite gold jewelry, some sunnies which helped to complete the monchrome aesthetic, and was ready to roll! Funny enough, I almost scrapped this look entirely and I’m relieved to say I’m so glad I didn’t! Comment below your favorite featured piece and until next time!

I’ve come to accept the fact that there are certain textiles that I will always gravitate towards regardless of what season we are in. Currently, my love for knits are at an all time high and I refuse to be ashamed of it! For months I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect co-ord that was of quality and did not break the bank; and though it took awhile, I finally found the perfect option. Obviously we are in the midst of Summer, but I still wanted to have a matching set that incorporated pants because for starters it’s something I currently do not own, and I personally believe they are easier to dress-up and elevate than other more casual versions. Purchasing the off-white color way was also a no-brainer because it captured the chic and clean vibe I was looking for. Styling garments like these are always exciting because since you’re essentially working with a blank canvas, the options to accessorize are endless! That being said, because my foundation was already quite stark, I didn’t want to add anything that would throw off the synergy of the look overall. Recently I had also purchased a new pair of tortoise sunnies and absolutely loved the pop of interest they brought when incorporated with this outfit. To further highlight the warm cognac tones, I grabbed a quilted crossbody bag. Lastly, to match the hardware on my purse, I threw on a few gold jewelry pieces and a neutral pair of strappy heeled sandals to complete the look! I truly enjoy an effortless, show-stopping ensemble that makes a statement without needing an abundance of frills and add-ons. Especially with the intense heat we’ve been experiencing lately, I’m choosing to keep my personal style as simple as possible at the moment. When it comes to color combinations, brown and blue is one that I personally love and have styled in a variety of ways on several occasions. It’s no secret that the chocolate shade was one of the biggest trends last year, and though more vibrant tones have taken over for the time being, I have no doubt it will resurface again towards the end of 2021. During an online retail therapy session, I came across this bodycon matching set and instantly knew I had to have it! Aside from the fact that it was giving all of the 90’s Mariah Carey “Butterfly” album cover vibes, it was also unlike anything I currently own in my wardrobe. Though I absolutely love statement pieces, I also genuinely appreciate garments that are simple enough to create an effortless, yet eye-catching ensemble. Because my foundation was so plain, I knew I had to include some striking elements that would really make my look pop! Towards the beginning of Spring, I purchased a tweed plaid blazer featuring gorgeous abstract shaped tortoise buttons. This striking accent detail matched perfectly with my co-ord, while also adding a balance of light, since I was working with a fairly dark base. My outerwear piece also incorporated teal threading in the pattern, which I chose to highlight with a bucket bag in a similar hue. For shoes, I kept it simple with a pair of black heeled sandals and was ready for brunch, date night, or an evening on the town with the girls. With the sense of normalcy steadily returning, the excitement of getting dressed up is also at an all time high! I look forward to recreating this look IRL and enjoying the simple moments we took for granted over the last year. Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

Every now and then we come across pieces that make us stop in our tracks and without hesitation, instantly find a place in our wardrobe. Like most of the fashion enthusiasts, I’ve been gravitating towards color in a way that is unlike ever before. Not only is this a reoccurring trend for Spring, but I also feel like this influx of bright hues represents somewhat of a celebration for getting through one of the toughest years the world has seen in quite some time. I’ve always been drawn to bold, unique trousers so when I stumbled across this turquoise croc-textured pair my mind was instantly blown! I actually styled a similar version in burgundy a couple months ago and was beyond excited to see the same brand come out with a more Spring appropriate color way. It was a no-brainer that these pants would be the star of any ensemble so it was just a matter of building around them. I knew that black would most likely be the contrasting shade, to coordinate with the button fastening. Aside from color, the cut-out trend has also been huge as we progress into warmer months. Recently I had been graciously gifted a few garments from a new independent brand and I couldn’t have been more impressed with the quality! This knit provided the perfect balance of texture and femininity, while still maintaining some of that eye-catching edge! Though the look was nearly complete, I still wanted to carefully choose my accessories. My favorite strappy mules seemed like the most obvious option for footwear but in efforts to break up the darker elements, I chose to go the metallic route! When I saw this bag in store years ago I was so hesitant to buy it because I wasn’t sure if I’d get my cost per wear. To my surprise, this has become one of my most show-stopping pieces and always brings a level of interest to any outfit I style it with. Lastly, I completed the look with my rimless clear frames which have also gotten tons of wear and are still getting compliments to this day. While I absolutely love dressing up for any occasion, especially the holidays, I wanted to style a few more casual options for this year’s festivities considering most celebrations will be small at-home gatherings. Though I haven’t really stocked up on tons of loungewear during the pandemic, I have added a few new sweat suits to my collection. This one in particular is by far the most “formal” due to its neoprene fabric which makes it much more substantial and structured than my cotton options. When it comes to my personal style, one of my favorite things to do is pair casual and dressier items together. Whether it be a band t-shirt, denim, or an old pair of sneakers, this juxtaposition is always one that I tend to gravitate towards. For me, it was a no-brainer that I’d be styling this basic co-ord with a sleek pair of heels. I had actually purchased these satin beauties about 2 years ago for NYE and they still bring me joy every time I wear them! Despite being extremely comfortable, the bow detail across the toe strap always incorporates a cute feminine touch. Once I had these items styled I knew I would need a few more pieces to complete this look. I had recently purchased a new coat for the season which featured an abstract hounds-tooth print. In my opinion, this was the perfect outer layer for the ensemble because it made a classic yet bold statement, against the other black garments. For additional texture, I dusted off and threw on an old quilted chain link bag. I always love bringing new life to items in my closet that I may have forgotten about or took a break from wearing. Lastly, to top off the holiday vibes, I added a bright red lip and was ready to celebrate from the comfort of my own home! Comment below if despite the restrictions you still plan to get fully glam, or if you’re choosing to tone it down this year due to the current circumstances. Until next time!

With the change in seasons also comes the change in nature’s colors, and being a Fall baby, I absolutely love the beauty and richness that appears during this time of year. It seems like as soon as the temperatures begin to drop and “sweater weather” is in full effect, there is a coziness that fills the air that I personally cannot resist. This longing for comfort and warmth presents itself through garments, signature beverages, and of course the ever-changing leaves. To be honest, I have never been a fan of brown clothing or sweatsuits for that matter. However, when I saw this co-ord online there was something about it that really drew me in and instantly, I knew I had to have it! As we should all know by now, contrast is my thing; so upon receiving these pieces, I knew this was an outfit that I would pair with heels. After trying a few different color combinations, I finally decided to stick with the neutral color palette and opted for my favorite tan mules. To compliment this further, I also incorporated my structured box bag featuring tortoise shell detailing. I absolutely loved how each item made its own statement and how the boldness of the ensemble really embodied what I think of when it comes to Autumnal dressing. To complete this fairly monochrome look, I figured gold jewelry would be the best fit as well as a pair of matching sunnies that truly tied everything together seamlessly. Whether with or without a jacket, this is definitely the type of look that will have me ready to take on the whatever the next few months have in store! While there have been quite a few colors really making an impact in fashion this season, I couldn’t help but notice a consistent trend of blue. Specifically with regards to footwear, I’ve seen both luxury and high street retailers produce a version of a heeled sandal in this similar hue.
