We made it friends! Another year down, and I couldn’t be happier with how far we’ve come. Despite the uncertainties, setbacks, and struggles along the way, there was also a tremendous amount of growth, reflection, and lessons learned. I am beyond excited to step into 2022 with the same goals, but a slightly updated perspective. I am challenging myself to recognize and appreciate every win no matter how small, while continuing to create content that I am proud of. I decided to close out this chapter with a more understated New Year’s Eve ensemble. Unfortunately, the majority of us are still limiting contact with large groups and though the celebrations will continue, there will be quite a few modifications in place. Personally, I’m planning to stay home which is why I thought this was a fitting outfit for my casual festivities. Though I experimented with quite a few bold colors over the last 12 months, a monochrome black look will always have a permanent place in my heart. During a last minute shopping run, I was able to find this sparkly tube top and a satin midi skirt, which to my surprise, I didn’t already have in my wardrobe. Though purchasing new items is essentially a part of my job, I will always encourage recycling the pieces in your closet to fully get your cost per wear as well as increase sustainability. That being said, I completed the look with some of my favorite staples that I’ve shown on several occasions. Aside from the oversized blazer which I’ve only had for a few months, all of my accessories are oldies but goodies! My chandelier earrings, chain mail bag, and rhinestone heeled sandals have yet to let me down or clash with my ever-evolving style. Lastly, for added holiday drama, I grabbed a pair of minimal sunnies and threw on a bold red lip. Effortlessly chic is exactly how I want to move on from 2021 and I’d have to say, I think I succeeded! Comment below your favorite featured item and I’ll see you in the new year!

Diving into Winter style and for me, it’s all about staying warm while looking chic! To be honest, this year I acquired a handful of exciting pieces that I’ve been dying to share, and this shearling coat was definitely a part of that haul. Aside from the overall quality, I was immediately attracted to the variety of neutral shades that created a sort of “patchwork” design on the garment. It should be no surprise that the color brown is here to stay so I really wanted to create a look that highlighted all of the different hues as well as the gorgeous plush texture. While I knew my outerwear was a showstopper in it’s own right, there was still room to add a few more statement elements. I had been eyeing this bodysuit for quite some time, and made no hesitations to purchase when it finally came back in stock! I personally loved the design, especially the ring details that gave a bit of edge to an otherwise standard cut out detail. Once my sweet tooth was finally satisfied from all of the chocolate, I decided to balance the look with a classic pair of mid-wash jeans featuring a raw hem. To me, denim always does a great job of grounding an ensemble especially when there are multiple eye-catching styles that could potentially compete. I also chose to keep my accessories fairly tame with sleek leather sock booties, gold jewelry, and aviator frames that subtly mimicked the warmth that the outfit radiated. Have you invested in cocoa-colored items this year?? If so, comment your favorite new addition below and until next time!

With everything that 2020 has thrown our way, for me, getting into the holiday spirit has been essential for ending this year on a somewhat positive note. Shopping for loved ones and friends is something that I always enjoy, so this year, I will be curating wish lists for nearly every person in your life! Stay tuned as each category will be updated daily and I may even include some bonus lists as we get closer to the holidays. I hope that even if you have not yet begun to feel festive, you find some joy and peace during this time. Swipe through the carousels for direct links to wish list items and until next time!

For the second look of my holiday series, I wanted to focus on attire that would be suitable for any semi-casual gathering with friends. This was an easy ensemble to pull together because it was basically composed of a few of my favorite pieces that I recently added to my wardrobe. I had been looking at these criss-cross jeans for about a month before a pulled the trigger and decided to purchase them; and although they were a bit pricey, I truly have no regrets! For me, the unique closure and boyfriend fit was enough to make me feel confident that I would get more than my cost per wear over the seasons to come. Another piece I have truly been obsessed with is this cream bustier blouse featuring a chic open back panel. In my opinion, these two garments together made for the most perfect street-style magic! That being said, I couldn’t just stop there; after all, it is the most festive time of year! To really get a true sense of the party season, I relied heavily on my accessories to pull this entire look together. For shoes, I pulled out my velvet cranberry colored booties and threw on a red lip to compliment them. Of course no holiday look would be complete without a bit of glitz, so I reached for my favorite chandelier earrings and newest chain-mail bag for an edgy flare. I was lucky enough to shoot this outfit on a day where it wasn’t absolutely freezing, and though it was the clearest of days in terms of sunshine, I was still getting all of the 90’s west coast vibes from this look. I personally don’t think I could ever live in a place that doesn’t get cold during this time of year; but I have to admit, Christmas shopping in a cropped top doesn’t sound all that bad, LOL! I loved this look because it represented exactly how I want to go into the new year; relaxed, cool, and effortless. Until next time!

I’ve stated time and time again that I am not your typical “accessories girl.”  I love creating looks with garments that make their own statement and don’t necessarily need a bunch of bells and whistles to come alive. With that being said, when I do come across an accessory piece that I feel would be a nice addition to my wardrobe I look for two key factors, uniqueness and versatility. When I was contacted by the lovely sponsors at Jord to showcase one of their timepieces, I took one glance at the website and knew instantly it would be something I could incorporate into my style. In the past, ironically, I spent a decent chunk of my retail career working for a watch company and not once have I ever come across one made almost entirely of wood. What I like about that feature, aside from the fact that the wood provides an earthy-rustic vibe to any look, is that it’s also surprisingly lightweight and extremely comfortable on the wrist. Another bonus is the neutral brown tone of the band which allows it to be worn with just about anything and perfectly compliments the warm, seasonal Fall colors that we all love! With a wide selection to choose from, I decided to go with a gorgeous mid-toned zebrawood watch with a champagne colored face. I love its over-sized yet sleek, classic appearance that is simple enough to be worn by both women and men. With the holidays quickly approaching and the spirit of giving in our hearts, Jord has taken their generosity to the next level and provided a contest link for all of my readers and subscribers! ALL entrants will receive a $25 coupon code that will be available for redemption until 12/18/16 and will expire 2/28/17. Merry Christmas All!!! On this oddly warm Christmas Day, I decided to post my third look for my holiday outfit series. It’s definitely feeling like a Cali Christmas on the east coast, but the warm weather has not stopped the holiday spirit by any means. In efforts to really emphasize the holiday, I chose to center this look around an embellished sweater that I actually bought and wore last year on Christmas Day. I love this top because though it does have the sparkle that most garments possess during the holidays, it is not so obviously “Christmas-themed” and can be worn on many different occasions. To continue to keep things fun and festive, I added a fringe mini skirt on the bottom and my oh-s0-popular thigh high boots for a little added height and warmth. (Side note: I have really been loving pairing navy and black. Is it just me?) This look is perfect for any holiday party, night out, or even dinner with the family. I hope you guys enjoy this look and have a wonderful day with your loved ones! Happy Holidays!!!

For my second holiday look, I decided to go for another fairly casual outfit with a bit of flare. If you are not the type of girl who is into sequins and wants something slightly less flashy, metallic textures and prints are a great alternative. Though I am personally a fan of sequins, I know that they can sometimes make a garment too heavy or, depending on the placement, can also be rather itchy. Luckily, during the holiday season metallic pieces are also in high demand and can be found in most retailers. Similar to my previous look, I kept the drama on the bottom with a metallic pencil skirt, so I made sure to keep everything quite neutral. With that being said though, I wanted to challenge myself by not using any black pieces so I accessorized with white and grey. I feel like the shoes and clutch added a bright pop to the look and played off of the “winter white” trend that is also quite popular. In efforts to not have the look be too overwhelming, I wore a plain grey cropped tee and just threw on a statement necklace for a little extra shine. Surprisingly, I really like the idea of more casual holiday looks this year. While floor length, sequin gowns are always statement worthy, I think looks like these can allow for less stress and the ability to be more comfortable while focusing on the celebration. But who am I kidding; I could change my mind by New Years. We’ll just have to wait and see I guess! Lol. Until next time!
