It’s officially “coat season” and at this point, my only goal is to balance a level of comfort, warmth, and style. It’s always so funny to me, how every year it seems like cold-weather pieces hit retailers entirely too soon, but before we know it we’re in the midst of Winter still complaining about not having the gloves, scarf, or outerwear we wanted. This year however, I was determined to just go for it; and though at the time I felt like it was too early to be purchasing a coat, I’m so glad I did! I had been eyeing this blue plaid number for at least 3 weeks before pulling the trigger. Aside from it being eye-catching due to the bold color alone, what really sold me was the overall fit! It’s very easy for long wool coats with belted closures to fall into that “bathrobe-esqe” category, especially when they’re over-sized. On the contrary, this piece was constructed beautifully and executed a level of tailoring that truly shined through as soon as I put it on. As this coat was the focal piece, I wanted to layer more neutral items underneath that would only enhance it in a complimentary way. Since there were black accents in the plaid design, I chose to use that shade as well as white for an overall contrasting color palette. I had been gifted this off the shoulder frock during the Summer and decided to use it as an anchor for the rest of the ensemble. From there, I paired it with a striped turtleneck for added warmth and dimension. Lastly, for footwear, it was no-brainer to throw on my slouchy OTK leather boots and silver accessories for a bit of shine. The fact that we have roughly a month left until 2020 really has prompted me to exist in a state of reflection and gratitude. I am thankful for how far I’ve come, where I am currently, and where I’m going despite the hardships that may arise along the way. Comment below your favorite piece from this look and what you are most grateful for. Until next time!

The time has come where the crisp Fall air seems to be here to stay and honestly, I’m ready for it! Over the last couple weeks, I’ve slowly been pulling my outerwear from the back of the closet and incorporating heavier garments into my daily looks. I’ve worked with the Eggie brand quite a bit this year, so when I was asked to select a few pieces from their latest collection I didn’t hesitate. My favorite item which stood out to me the most was this over-sized vegan leather coat. I constantly reference the 90’s when it comes to some of my style inspiration and this particular piece completely fit the mold. The cut, trench-like structure, and fabric reminded me so much of the jackets my Mom used to wear and I knew I had to have it! As far as transitional looks go, I really wanted to keep this one simple and essentially highlight a capsule collection of pieces that I feel every person should own and keep in heavy rotation this season. When it comes to the basics, a turtleneck and a good mid-wash pair of jeans can be the foundation for a variety of looks and take you through 3 out of the 4 seasons, if you reside in the northeast. Since I decided to focus on the simplicity and chicness of each garment I knew that accessories and shoes would play a major role in tying this ensemble together. For footwear, I chose to recycle an older pair of heeled sandals that I still absolutely love and seemed to compliment the wash of the denim perfectly. I was also quite pleased with how the navy metallic finish stood out and popped against the other darker pieces. For jewelry I decided to go with all silver to really accentuate my statement clutch and keep everything sleek and uniform. I’m sure I’ve said this before, but in my opinion, simplicity is truly underrated. An outfit like this one can take you from the office, to happy hour, dinner with the family, or even just shopping on a random afternoon. As imperative as I think it is to cultivate your style and identity, I think it’s just as important to appreciate those go-to classic pieces that will keep you looking fashionable for decades to come. Until next time!

As a blogger or “influencer,” one of the things I’ve truly begun to appreciate over the years, are the relationships I’ve built with brands. Aside from creating content I love, there’s nothing better than affirmation from brands that also appreciate the time and effort being put forth, while continuing to support your craft. I had the pleasure of working with two companies I’ve collaborated with in the past to showcase products from their new Summer collections. I’ve been a fan of Who What Wear for quite some time, and what truly amazes me about their clothing is the consistency in showcasing the latest trends in the most affordable way. As soon as I saw this abstract lemon printed bardot top, I was sold! The style was super playful yet feminine and captured the essence of the season perfectly! To keep the focus on this vibrant piece, I chose a neutral pair of tailored trousers to style it with. I absolutely loved the juxtaposition of the frilly top, with the more masculine structured pant. In efforts to keep things casual, a flat sandal instantly seemed like the way to go. To my surprise, I found the most unique pair of slip-ons featuring an interesting rope-style construction. Once the basic frame of the look was complete, I was ready to move onto accessories! Daniel Wellington is another brand I’ve had the pleasure of working with a few times, and the quality, elegance, and versatility of their time pieces never goes unnoticed. I had been gifted the perfect watch to compliment my top which featured a stark white band and rose gold hardware. For added cohesiveness, I also styled the matching rings and cuff bracelet which provided a smart, chic feel to the overall look. I decided to mix metals with a pair of yellow-gold earrings as a final touch and was ready to take on the heatwave! This look truly came together in the most effortless way and made me feel so lucky and grateful for the growing partnerships I’ve built with these brands thus far! Until next time!

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year; well, at least in my opinion. Anyone who knows me can attest to the fact that I am probably my happiest as soon as the holidays come around. I am all about getting into the spirit of giving and spending quality time while making lasting memories with those I cherish. So, to kick off my holiday content, I was thrilled when I was contacted for the second time by a notable brand I had the pleasure of working with in the past, Daniel Wellington. Because they are so well known for their timelessly chic watches, I was beyond excited when I was given the opportunity to participate in their holiday campaign! This season they decided to showcase their new Holiday Bundle Box which (for women) consists of the watch of your choice as well as a matching DW cuff bracelet. Though I am usually pretty basic when it comes to my accessories, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and go for the rose gold option. Now I know this may not seem like a big deal to some, but I tend to keep it simple with either traditional silver or gold pieces. Since I was feeling daring however, I chose to reflect that in my ensemble as well. I had recently been on the hunt for a cozy off the shoulder sweater so when I stumbled across this neutral oatmeal colored option, I knew it had to be mine! At this point, I wasn’t working with much and still needed to find a piece that complimented the watch so, my search continued. Luckily, it didn’t take long before I found a multicolored striped skirt that captured my attention the second I laid eyes on it. Initially I thought this piece was a bit too flashy for my taste, but then I figured, “It’s the holiday season, go for it!”– and so I did. As I looked closer, I was inspired by the variety of metallic shades incorporated in this garment and chose to do a bit of metal mixing myself. Instead of keeping with the rose gold theme, I decided to switch things up and add a pair of silver strappy sandals to the mix. In efforts to stay weather appropriate while adding another layer of interest, I also chose a cute pair of socks to wear with my heels. This is a style I’ve seen become increasingly popular over the last few years and I have quickly become a fan! I mean, with this trend there’s no need to put your Summer footwear in storage for half of the year; so what’s not to love?! I was quite pleased with how this look turned out and it definitely made me want to dive into the festivities even more! So with that being said, please feel free to use my code: ASTYLEDMIND15 for 15% off when you order on www.danielwellington.com! This order is valid through 2/28/19 so you have more than enough time to browse the site and check out some goodies for that special person in your life! Nothing screams “Fall fashion” like neutral tones and animal prints, so I absolutely couldn’t resist creating a look that gave my personal take on these trends. I also wanted to use this as an opportunity to style my new leather watch band from Daniel Wellington. Upon seeing this stunning accessory on their website, I knew it would make for the perfect arm candy this Autumn/Winter season. Initially I was aiming to create a rather monochrome look, which I feel like I somewhat achieved but with a bit of a twist. The next piece that really helped curate this look for me, were these amazing pumpkin colored culottes. The silver ring zipper detail on them perfectly highlighted the watch and meshed effortlessly. From there, I had a bit of difficulty choosing a shoe but in the end decided on a pair of brown mules which couldn’t have been more perfect for this casual yet chic look. To tie up the bottom half of the outfit, I stumbled across this leopard print clutch which I received as a gift from another purchase and had totally forgot about! This bag allowed me to fuse all of the warm tones I currently had paired together without having any of the pieces clash. In efforts break up the warmth as  Fall annually does, I added a white button down to the mix to give the look a more classic element while still emphasizing the stark face of the time piece. At this point, all there was left to do was  grab my trench coat and head out the door! This ensemble really got me excited for all of the Autumn looks I plan to style this year, so if you have anything in particular you’d like to see leave a comment below! Lastly if you liked the watch that I styled, there will be bundle deals from 11/1-12/31 in addition to my personal 15% off code: ASTYLEDMIND that can be used on Danielwellington.com. Happy shopping!

As a huge lover of Fall, I am beyond ready for all of the cute seasonal activities, new drink options, and of course the fashion! From the moment I laid eyes on these forest green trousers, I was instantly sold and knew they would be extremely fitting for an Autumn look. What drew me to them aside from the color, was the paper bag style waist that is surprisingly unlike anything I currently own. This style of pant is perfect for creating a cinched waistline and giving a more tailored vibe to any look. Though I usually tend to lean towards the contrast of pairing formal and casual pieces, I decided to keep the outfit on the sophisticated side. Have you ever seen an item in a storefront window and walked past it numerous times and right before leaving you realize you HAVE to have it?? Well, that was basically the story behind this top. I’ve been seeing the one-shoulder trend a lot lately and though I didn’t initially think it would be something I would like or find flattering, this blouse completely changed my mind! Additionally, I thought the exposed arm detail really made this a unique piece that added a bit of unexpected interest to the entire ensemble. To offset the darkness of the trousers, I chose a pair of white pumps to keep the look balanced and fun. As a final accessory, I chose to wear my new Daniel Wellington watch which I felt added the perfect touch to complete this look. I love this piece because of its classic, minimal design that makes styling effortless. Honestly, after working at a watch store for 3 years, I really haven’t been reaching for my collection. That being said, this DW piece definitely makes me want to dabble back into it and see what other pieces of arm candy I forgot I had! Until next time!!
