As my style evolves, I find myself not only integrating new pieces but also replacing older ones that have served their purpose and/or need to be updated in terms of quality. I had recently been on the hunt for a new faux leather trench that could fulfill my “90’s matrix” fantasy and for whatever reason, I was having trouble finding one that truly spoke to me. That said, it only took one coffee shop date in SOHO to finally find exactly what I was looking for! In my opinion, that’s one of the most amazing things about living in/near a major city; the inspiration! Whether it be art, music, food, or fashion there is so much you can absorb from the moment you leave your door, and that’s something I’ll always appreciate. Luckily it didn’t take long to receive the coat and despite a few minor sizing issues, I was more than satisfied with my purchase! To be honest, I’ve gotten a few pieces in the mail over the last few months (and even last year) that I’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to style. For this ensemble however, I’d say it was one of the most low maintenance yet impactful looks I’ve ever put together. Lately, I’ve really been into minimal tops with interesting details, and this knit was no different! I’ve had plenty of crop tops in this style but the overall chunkiness and cut-outs completely sold me, and I knew I had to have it! At this point I was committed to the monochrome theme, and realized I still hadn’t worn this unique pair of wide-legged trousers that have been in my wardrobe for quite some time. What I loved most about the design was the “fold-over” element which made the pants that much more intriguing, while also breaking up the various shades of black. Finally, for footwear, I decided to incorporate a bit of playfulness and ground the outfit with some acid green metallic mules which I could not be more obsessed with! Since I already had so much going on, I decided to forego a bag and complete the look with sleek sunnies and simple stud earrings. Everything about this styling exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be rocking it again sooner than later! Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

It’s no secret that we’re knee deep into sweater weather, but does that doesn’t mean we have to wear boring ones! I’ve been loving the cut-out trend that’s been circulating lately and it’s really inspired me to add some non-conventional tops to my wardrobe in efforts to really spice things up this season. Below I’ve rounded up a few knitwear showstoppers that are bound to make a statement in any room. Don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks and until next time!

Happy New Year! Does anyone else feel like the holidays just completely flew by?! Every year we spend so much time planning, decorating, and preparing for the last week of the year and within the blink of an eye its over. That being said, with every new year comes new goals, challenges, and hurdles to overcome and I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m excited and more motivated than ever! Last year wasn’t the easiest for me and there were a lot of times where I felt stagnant; but I have put that behind me and am ready to push forward into 2019 full throttle! While I am so grateful to be in a position where I can give to others during the holiday season, I definitely use this time to treat myself a bit as well. I actually saw this sweater on a fellow blogger and she rocked it so well, I was instantly sold and knew I had to make it a part of my wardrobe. I mentioned last year that I’ve really been gravitating towards turtlenecks this season, so the cutout detail was a nice touch to differentiate it from my ever-growing collection. As with most black garments however, the options to pair them with other items are endless so I really had to give some thought to the direction I wanted to go in. Per usual, I followed my normal routine and browsed the shops until I found a piece that struck me; and boy, did it! These snake printed leather trousers are EV-ER-Y-THING!!! On top of being the only pair left in the store that just so happened to be in my size, they were also 50% off– can someone say, “meant to be?!” In my opinion, these trousers are definitely one of those statement pieces that you keep for decades so you can look back on and remember the style of that particular time. Now, with two pieces that I was absolutely in love with, it was time to finish up the look with a few accessories; and to my surprise, I found them in my very own closet! After recently moving and discovering a few items that I haven’t worn in awhile, I stumbled upon some old favorites including these silver cap toe pumps. I really loved how they brought out the grey and blue tones in the pant design, while also brightening up the look overall. Lastly, I grabbed a belt bag that I purchased last year and decided to wear it on my shoulder which really gave a throwback 90’s vibe to the ensemble. I am beyond pleased with how this look turned out and am ready to take on this year in the chicest way possible! Let me know in the comments your favorite piece(s) from this look, as well as any trends or styles you’d like me to try styling! Until next time!

White dresses have recently become increasingly popular and have slowly made their way onto the list of “wardrobe staples.” Especially during the warmer months, these frocks can easily be swapped in as an alternative for the LBD and worn in a variety of settings no matter how casual or formal. Below I’ve rounded up a few variations that I could definitely see myself styling around the city, in the upcoming months. Don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks; until next time!

The hotter it gets, the simpler I want my outfits to be. When shopping in preparation for this shoot, I really didn’t know what I was looking for, however I was certain that I wanted to stay away from prints. After trying on a few pieces, this bold tomato colored midi dress was the unanimous winner! Aside from the stunning color, I loved how simple and elegant this dress was without being too showy. To me, this was the perfect “I have nothing to wear” garment– one of those items that you can throw on with a few accessories, and instantly look put together. Because I wanted to apply the overall effortless and minimal vibe of the dress to the entire look, I chose simple pieces to pair it with. I’ve recently been seeing these cross-body bags with gold ring handles almost everywhere but I wanted to wait until I found the one that best suited my personal wardrobe before hopping on the trend; and it was well worth it! Aside from going with absolutely everything, this bag provides a chic edge to any outfit it is styled with. For shoes, I decided to wear my nude and black block-heeled sandals, which I felt nicely tied all elements of the look together without creating too harsh of a contrast. I was honestly very pleased with how this look turned out and feel like I may want to add a few more dresses in this style to my collection. After all, there’s nothing like feeling easy, breezy, and beautiful on a sunny Summer day. Until next time!

I am so grateful to have been selected by the lovely team at Tobi to work on a sponsored fashion collaboration. They graciously allowed me to pick out a few items to style and share with my followers; so lets get started! Tobi is a popular online-only women’s fashion boutique based in Los Angeles with an ever-changing stock for all of your fashion needs. Aside from being reasonably priced, they offer worldwide shipping, an endless variety of pieces to keep you on trend, and 50% off for new customers; so please tell me what’s not to love! While it was quite difficult to narrow my selection, I managed to shorten my list to my favorite key items which included the dress and jacket featured in this post as well as a jumpsuit that I will be showing in part 2. The dress was definitely one of the first pieces to catch my eye on the site. I really loved the interesting slate grey color of the garment as well as knot and cut out side details that added subtle, yet striking elements to the otherwise simple item. Since the weather has still been quite inconsistent, I figured looking for layering pieces wouldn’t be a bad idea; and this long-line draped jacket was just what I needed for those breezy days. Even before receiving the items, I knew these pieces would work well together, it was just a matter of what accessories I would use to complete the look. I had recently purchased these amazing, vibrant blue strappy heels which coordinated perfectly with the cool tone of the dress. In efforts to maintain a bit of contrast and tie in my black outerwear, I decided to throw on my leather cap and chain link purse for more of a “sporty chic” vibe. I am extremely pleased with how this look turned out and appreciative of everyone at Tobi for this professional and pleasant experience. I’m not sure what it is exactly, but there’s something about denim jackets that just SCREAM “springtime” to me. No matter what wash they are in, this timeless piece is one that has graced many decades and will never go out style. I have about four or five denim jackets in my personal collection but this one is by far the most unique. I love that its traditional sleeves have been cut off and replaced with sweater substitutes, as well as the ever so eye-catching Metallica death metal patch that covers the back. Because this jacket alone has SO much going on, I layered it over a simple sleeveless mock neck sweater dress. I kept the accessories equally as subdued with a black wide brim hat, cut out boots, and my favorite leather tote. I love this look because of the casual yet, edgy vibe it gives off and it really left me feeling “too cool for school!” So tell me, whats your favorite spring piece and how to do you rock it?! Until next time!
