I had the pleasure of working with the iconic Macy’s brand on a campaign that featured several influencers, including myself, showcasing how we style the same items in our own personal way. I instantly loved the idea of this collaboration because it highlighted the diversity and versatility that stems from the over-saturated blogger community. The first focal piece was a gorgeous embroidered Bardot style top with intricate patterns on the sleeves and colorful stitching. In my opinion, this was the perfect Spring to Summer transition garment and I couldn’t wait to create a look around it. Because of the stunning details, I knew I wanted to keep the rest of the items simple yet eye-catching. Upon browsing the Macy’s website, I came across a pair of color-blocked jeans with raw hem detailing and knew they would make the perfect addition to this look. While I’ve seemed to lose count of the amount of denim in my wardrobe, I’m always looking to collect pieces that are unique yet complimentary to the items I currently own. Initially, I had a totally different shoe in mind to complete this ensemble however that plan was derailed once the color I wanted was out of stock. That said, everything worked out as I had ordered another pair of heels that in my opinion suited this look even better. These metallic, navy heeled sandals were the perfect option for complimenting the jewel tones as well as the silver accents on my top and I am so happy with how the look turned out! For a final touch, I threw on a pair of silver earrings and felt nothing short of confident and chic. I know for a fact I’ll be revisiting Macy’s a lot this year and can’t wait to reveal more looks from this campaign. Until next time!

As we approach the Spring season, it was imperative to me that I started introducing lighter hues into my wardrobe. When shopping for this look, I was shocked to realize that I didn’t own a pair of white jeans and probably haven’t for quite a few years now. Needless to say, when I came across this pair of denim culottes, I instantly knew that they would be the perfect foundation piece for this ensemble. As a shorter girl, I’ve always found this style of pant super flattering and effortlessly chic. Recently, I’ve also noticed lighter more muted shades of blue really making a statement in various retailers and after much back and forth, I decided to pair my trousers with a thin sea foam colored roll-neck. While this color is a bit out of the norm for me, I liked the uniqueness of the shade and the versatility it can bring to number of pieces already in my closet. At this point I was slightly at a standstill because I had two very simple pieces but nothing that really tied them together to create a cohesive outfit. I then remembered an item I had previously seen in a store I had been browsing in earlier, and to my surprise it was the perfect addition! This cropped corduroy jacket is definitely not something I could’ve imagined myself picking up initially however, it really brought a nostalgic element to the look as well as color-blocking– a trend I typically don’t find myself gravitating towards on a regular basis. For accessories, I decided to reach for a cool-toned grey backpack which I felt meshed well with the overall color scheme of the ensemble and some mixed metal hoops which played off of the ring detail on the bag. Since the entire outfit was pretty light as a whole, I chose to finish it off with my favorite pair of black minimal mules for a bit of balance. Though there were many elements that took me out of my comfort zone with this particular look, I was pleased with how it turned out and happy I took a few fashion risks along the way. Comment below your favorite piece from this look; until next time!

As a style influencer, it’s important to showcase looks for the upcoming seasons before they actually turn, and unfortunately, a lot of times that requires being improperly dressed for the current weather conditions. This past weekend was a prime example of that as I shot a few Spring looks in the below freezing temperatures. What can I say, anything for the love of fashion…right? Anyway, this cropped biker jacket debuted Fall 2016, and actually ended up being one of my Christmas presents last year. From the moment I tried it on in the store, I knew I had to style it for my blog and showcase it’s beauty. It came in couple different colors, and even more now that we are moving into warmer months, but there was something about the grey that drew me in and completely inspired my vision. Aside from the color, the soft suede-like texture is absolutely a dream and an unexpectedly pleasant surprise that receives an overwhelming amount of compliments whenever I wear this item. I didn’t exactly know right away how I wanted to style this piece, but I knew it had to be good, so I waited a few months and FINALLY found the key pieces I needed pull it all together. For about the last six months, I’ve been loving the combination of navy and grey, and it seems that this pairing will continue to make a statement in my wardrobe throughout 2017. While on one of my recent shopping trips, I found this gorgeous satin midi skirt and knew the contrast in textures as well as structure would make for a chic and eye-catching ensemble. At this point, I was still a bit unsure of the top I wanted to wear, but finally decided on a throwback graphic Guess logo tank. Aside from being a super cool homage to the 90’s, I thought this was the perfect piece to add a casual flair to the look and break up the dressier pieces. To finish it all off, I grabbed my black pumps with silver ankle cuff hardware, to compliment my outerwear, and a leather choker for fun. There were so many statement pieces with this look, I didn’t even bother grabbing a bag. I absolutely loved how it turned out and am even more excited for warm weather and fewer layers. Until next time!
