I think by now this “quarantine life” has gotten to all of us in some way or another. Up until this point, I had never really worked sweat suits into my everyday style, but now, they’re probably what I wear the most! Being comfortable and casual is pretty much the only way to describe my style these days, so I figured why not lean into it and create a look based on the pieces I find myself in majority of the time. This beige co-ord happens to be one of at least four loungewear sets I’ve purchased over the last 6 months. The neutral color and soft cozy fabric instantly attracted me and I knew I had to have it! While I would easily wear this set around the house as is, complimented by my fuzzy slippers, I decided to challenge myself to style it in a way that was a bit more presentable in the event that I was actually leaving the house. I also recently ordered this hybrid faux leather and camel trench coat which I was dying to style before we transition out of the Winter season. Initially when pairing these items, I was concerned that everything would just blend together because of the similar neutral shades. To prevent this from happening, I knew I had to integrate more contrast so each garment could shine on its own. I started by layering the sweater with a thin grey knit. This broke up the tan hues making a clear distinction between the pieces even though they were so close together. To further separate the coat, I added a chunky gold chain-link necklace to really emphasize the stacked fabrics and add a pop of interest since I was working with a very muted palette. Lastly, I knew I didn’t want to opt for basic black boot, so instead I reached for my favorite snake-print style which added some unexpected color and texture to the overall look. To further elevate the ensemble, I kept on my leather gloves which I felt brought a sense of sophistication and practicality. While I was initially hesitant that this outfit would be too plain, I loved how it turned out and look forward to doing more sweat suit styling challenges as 2021 progresses. In my opinion, the phrase “home for the holidays” will have a slightly different meaning this year considering most of us have been confined to our residences for the majority of 2020. That said, I am personally still doing everything I can to maintain a positive outlook and enjoy this cozy season as it truly is one of my favorites. While it is common knowledge that Adidas is an activewear brand, it may be surprising to some that they also sell loungewear garments perfect for those days that are full of R & R. I’m sure I’m not alone in this sentiment but one of the first things that makes me think of home is comfort. Pre-quarantine, the thought of getting back to my apartment to unwind after a long day of running around the city was one of the things I looked forward to most. The second thing I highly anticipated, was changing out of my clothes for the day and into something much more relaxed. As a part of this year’s holiday collaboration, I was gifted a few items that were designed with those comfy feels in mind. This is probably the simplest outfit I’ve ever blogged, but it is a true representation of the items I wear around the house. While in my sanctuary, I am a huge fan of anything that grants me the ability to opt out of wearing pants, LOL! For that reason, I was thrilled when I came across this elongated sweatshirt that completely fit the bill. Aside from being super warm, it also has a massive front pocket ideal for storing snacks while lounging around. In efforts to still have some kind of outfit coordination, I decided to pair it with burgundy knee-high socks that subtly accentuated the logo on my top. After putting on this ensemble, I was instantly ready to snuggle up on the couch with a blanket and watch as many holiday films as I could find! Head over to the Adidas website to check out all of the pieces from their loungewear collection, and comment below your favorite item to wear when resting at home. Until next time!

With the change in seasons also comes the change in nature’s colors, and being a Fall baby, I absolutely love the beauty and richness that appears during this time of year. It seems like as soon as the temperatures begin to drop and “sweater weather” is in full effect, there is a coziness that fills the air that I personally cannot resist. This longing for comfort and warmth presents itself through garments, signature beverages, and of course the ever-changing leaves. To be honest, I have never been a fan of brown clothing or sweatsuits for that matter. However, when I saw this co-ord online there was something about it that really drew me in and instantly, I knew I had to have it! As we should all know by now, contrast is my thing; so upon receiving these pieces, I knew this was an outfit that I would pair with heels. After trying a few different color combinations, I finally decided to stick with the neutral color palette and opted for my favorite tan mules. To compliment this further, I also incorporated my structured box bag featuring tortoise shell detailing. I absolutely loved how each item made its own statement and how the boldness of the ensemble really embodied what I think of when it comes to Autumnal dressing. To complete this fairly monochrome look, I figured gold jewelry would be the best fit as well as a pair of matching sunnies that truly tied everything together seamlessly. Whether with or without a jacket, this is definitely the type of look that will have me ready to take on the whatever the next few months have in store! As a blogger who does most of her shooting outdoors, there’s always a chance that unexpected weather conditions can alter the plans and force a last minute location change. Luckily, on this particular weekend, I was well aware that it would be raining so I thought ahead. I had seen a few bloggers use the furniture store, Burrow House, to host events as well as a photoshoot backdrop. Aside from the store being beautifully curated, it’s also an incredibly photogenic space with all of the cozy vibes you could ever imagine! Unlike other home-good retailers I’ve seen, Burrow House does an excellent job at designing their stores to really make the customer feel at home and get a feel for how each piece would live in their own private spaces. Upon walking in, I was instantly drawn to this deep caramel-colored leather couch and knew it would be the perfect center piece for my shoot. Everything felt so natural, as if I was in my own living room which helped compliment the casual outfit I had styled. I was holding onto this plaid jacket for quite some time planning the perfect moment to style it, to the point where I began to get nervous if I had waited too long and it was out of season. After thinking of possible scenarios where I could where this garment, the thought of cool Summer nights on the boardwalk came to mind and I began mentally crafting my ensemble. I found these denim paper-bag waist shorts on sale during a recent shopping trip, and in efforts to keep things simple, paired them with a white button up with eyelet detailing. Because this was such a classic look, I chose to keep the focus on the outerwear and finish it off with minimal heeled sandals featuring a vinyl strap and sage colored earrings to tie everything together. I truly felt right at home and loved how this editorial turned out! Let me know in the comments what a rainy day at home looks like for you; mine would certainly consist of tea, music, and a few good movies. Until next time!

It’s no secret that we’re knee deep into sweater weather, but does that doesn’t mean we have to wear boring ones! I’ve been loving the cut-out trend that’s been circulating lately and it’s really inspired me to add some non-conventional tops to my wardrobe in efforts to really spice things up this season. Below I’ve rounded up a few knitwear showstoppers that are bound to make a statement in any room. Don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks and until next time!

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year; well, at least in my opinion. Anyone who knows me can attest to the fact that I am probably my happiest as soon as the holidays come around. I am all about getting into the spirit of giving and spending quality time while making lasting memories with those I cherish. So, to kick off my holiday content, I was thrilled when I was contacted for the second time by a notable brand I had the pleasure of working with in the past, Daniel Wellington. Because they are so well known for their timelessly chic watches, I was beyond excited when I was given the opportunity to participate in their holiday campaign! This season they decided to showcase their new Holiday Bundle Box which (for women) consists of the watch of your choice as well as a matching DW cuff bracelet. Though I am usually pretty basic when it comes to my accessories, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and go for the rose gold option. Now I know this may not seem like a big deal to some, but I tend to keep it simple with either traditional silver or gold pieces. Since I was feeling daring however, I chose to reflect that in my ensemble as well. I had recently been on the hunt for a cozy off the shoulder sweater so when I stumbled across this neutral oatmeal colored option, I knew it had to be mine! At this point, I wasn’t working with much and still needed to find a piece that complimented the watch so, my search continued. Luckily, it didn’t take long before I found a multicolored striped skirt that captured my attention the second I laid eyes on it. Initially I thought this piece was a bit too flashy for my taste, but then I figured, “It’s the holiday season, go for it!”– and so I did. As I looked closer, I was inspired by the variety of metallic shades incorporated in this garment and chose to do a bit of metal mixing myself. Instead of keeping with the rose gold theme, I decided to switch things up and add a pair of silver strappy sandals to the mix. In efforts to stay weather appropriate while adding another layer of interest, I also chose a cute pair of socks to wear with my heels. This is a style I’ve seen become increasingly popular over the last few years and I have quickly become a fan! I mean, with this trend there’s no need to put your Summer footwear in storage for half of the year; so what’s not to love?! I was quite pleased with how this look turned out and it definitely made me want to dive into the festivities even more! So with that being said, please feel free to use my code: ASTYLEDMIND15 for 15% off when you order on www.danielwellington.com! This order is valid through 2/28/19 so you have more than enough time to browse the site and check out some goodies for that special person in your life! I have currently been utterly OBSESSED with hoodies! Whether worn as a normal sweatshirt under a leather jacket with skinny jeans and sneakers or over-sized as a dress with heels, I literally cannot get enough. I think it’s the effortlessly cool vibe that draws me in, as well as the slightly tom-boyish look this garment provides that is a nice change from my usual style. Check out the super cool hoodies I’ve rounded up below and don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks! Until next time!

Truthfully, I haven’t owned a matching sweatsuit since the early 2000’s and if anyone had told me that I would be wearing one in 2017 a few year’s ago, I probably would’ve laughed in their face. As most trends do however, this is another one that has circled back around and into my current wardrobe. Over the last few years joggers and hoodies have become increasingly popular in regards to the more “cozy” street style look; so I suppose it was only a matter of time before matching sets arrived on the scene as well. I bought this particular co-ord set for NYFW and it was both practical for the crappy weather, and surprisingly one of my favorite looks. Aside from being ridiculously warm and comfortable, the chic off-the-shoulder detail of the sweater and lace up trousers with tapered cuffed pant legs, made for the perfect statement but effortless look. The only thing I actually changed when styling this look that differed from what I actually wore during fashion week was my outerwear. Luckily, I shot this on a beautiful 60-degree day which prompted me to make this look a little more Spring appropriate. I opted for my Dad’s authentic Marine Corps jacket and absolutely loved the extra edge and interest that the camo print added to this outfit. As this was such a casual look, I didn’t find it necessary to grab a bag however I did throw on my clear aviator frames to accessorize. In my opinion, this is one of those looks that can easily allow you to feel like the coolest girl in the room no matter what environment you end up in. I have also tried styling this sweatsuit with other footwear options including loafers and sneakers and I loved it just as much! I look forward to getting a lot of wear out of this ensemble and mixing up the pieces individually for other versatile looks. Let me know your opinion of sweatsuits in the comments below; until next time!

With the holidays quickly approaching, there are only 2 outfits that I am actually planning for: New Year’s Eve and Christmas Day. While for NYE I put a lot of thought into the statement I want my ensemble to make as I bring in the upcoming year, Christmas Day is a totally different story. I am concerned with one thing, and one thing only…COMFORT. For me, Christmas is probably the most relaxing day of the year. I get up, put on my “outfit” for the day, and literally stay in it ALL day. The past few years I’ve been a proud member of the onesie club, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other options. Check out a few of the items I’ve highlighted below for optimal comfort and don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks! Until next time & happy holidays!
