Over the years, as my knowledge and experience in the fashion/influencer space has grown, so have my viewpoints. For instance, despite what has been portrayed in the past, an ensemble can be both casual and chic. Although this may be obvious to some, displaying your personal style as a job can come with tons of pressure and it’s easy to get caught up in the hype of only showcasing the most intricate of looks. In my opinion, one of the easiest tricks for elevating a more casual outfit would have to be sticking to a monochrome color palette. Regarding this particular look, I had no specific direction when it came to my initial styling, so relying on this tip definitely helped me pull everything together. During my browsing, I came across these straight-legged jeans and instantly realized that I had nearly let an entire decade pass without owning a grey pair! After deciding these would serve as my base, I began to search for items to pair them with. At first, I began reaching for more colorful garments to offset the darkness of the trousers; but to no avail, I opted for an embellished sweater in a similar shade. Another fashion hack I’ve grown to love and appreciate is incorporating a variety of textures. I was quite a fan of the rigid denim against the soft texture of the mohair top, as well as the eye-catching sparkle of the rhinestones. To complete the outfit, I kept it simple with a square-toed pair of black booties and 90’s inspired frosted frames. Though there still seems to be a huge emphasis on accessories, I’d like to get back to relying on the clothes themselves as the focal point of my looks in 2020. There’s nothing like having quality and timeless pieces that can be recycled for years to come and I intend to keep my wardrobe full of them. Until next time!

There’s nothing like the convenience of a garment that requires minimal effort to style while still looking chic and on trend. I’m basically obsessed with all “one piece” ensembles especially during this time of year– anything from dresses, rompers, and of course jumpsuits! This denim number is one of my latest purchases and truthfully, I wasn’t sure what to make of it at first. Typically when I think of denim garments in this style, my initial thoughts are of overalls, so I was a bit skeptical when I felt the stretchy elastic-like fabric. That said, I was pleasantly surprised when I tried on this piece and saw that it fit more like a comfortable figure flattering cat suit. This is the perfect item that is versatile enough to dress up for a night out or wear casually with sneakers to run errands. Because I consider denim to be “neutral,” I wanted to style it with a bag that had a bit of interest. To my surprise, I found the cutest hand beaded and sequined pineapple purse that in my opinion was the best accessory to compliment this look. Since I had such a glitzy purse, and didn’t feel the need to wear much jewelry, I just finished off the ensemble with my minimal black mules. This jumpsuit is definitely a piece that I see myself wearing all year round and styling for many different occasions. Let me know in the comments below if you would ever wear a garment like this or if you prefer traditional overalls. Until next time and Happy 4th!!

Two thoughts came to mind when I first laid eyes on the dress: “It’s absolutely stunning and it totally reminds me of something that would’ve been worn in the 70’s!” As we all know, I am VERY picky when it comes to the floral prints I wear and typically tend to gravitate towards pieces that I can pair with other neutral items. That being said, deciding to purchase this pleated maxi was slightly out of my comfort zone considering there was no way I could really tone down the vibrant head-to-toe print. All in all, I decided to take the plunge and add this gorgeous dress to my collection. Another thing that is pretty common throughout my style is my love of contrast, so a major selling point for me with this garment was the subtle but edgy rhinestone detailing along the bust and arm seams. In efforts to continue embracing the Summer colors and further accentuate the retro vibe, I purchased a pair of aviators with orange tinted lenses that ended up looking pretty cool if I do say so myself. While paying homage to decades past, tinted frames have become quite popular this year starting with yellow lenses and quickly expanding to pretty much any color you can think of. I’m personally a huge fan of this trend and thought these frames made for the perfect accessory to add to this look. I kept my footwear simple with a pair of minimal block heeled sandals and was good to go! After taking a week’s long vacation, it feels great to get back to posting and I hope you guys like this look as much as I enjoyed styling it! Let me know your opinions in the comments below and whether you think there’s such thing as too much floral, lol. Until next time!

Have you ever styled and wore an outfit that you felt was so perfect, nothing could affect your mood for the entire day? Well, that is exactly how I felt the beautiful morning that we shot this look! I am regularly shopping for new pieces to showcase on my blog and during one of my more impromptu trips, I came across these bleach dipped jeans. To be honest, I was a bit unsure about them at first as I didn’t know how much wear I would realistically get out of them. That said, after a few at home try-ons and a second trip to exchange them for the correct size, I had fallen completely in love! I may go on record to say that these are probably the chic-est pair of jeans I own. From the straight fit, to the raw hem and unique eye-catching details, there are endless possibilities with these denim beauties and I can’t wait to wear them throughout the Spring and Summer months. While I was off to a good start with my bottom piece, I knew that trousers this good needed a special top to pull the look together. I had been eyeing this blouse online for a few weeks and watched it go in and out of stock several times before taking the plunge. For me, when I decide to splurge on pricier garments they have to meet the following criteria: fit, fabric, and versatility. There’s nothing wrong with spending a little extra on an item but it’s important to make sure that you are getting your money’s worth and that the construction of the piece is in fact worth the inflated price point. Seeing as how I really wanted to make sure that this was the best top to compliment my jeans, I did something I rarely do and tried on both pieces together in the dressing room. While I hate the hassle of trying things on, I loved the instant gratification of knowing that I had two amazing pieces that looked great together and could easily mesh with the items already in my wardrobe. In efforts to keep the look light and fresh, I stayed away from black accessories and opted for nude heels along with my navy cross-body bag. To finish off the look, I threw on my gold aviator frames complimented by a bright orange lip and was ready to enjoy the day. There’s nothing much left to say about this look except for the fact that I am just as obsessed with it now as the day I wore it! If you like this look and you’re excited that it finally feels like Spring, leave a comment below. Until next time!
